Been meaning to write this review for over a year. We loved it here, the views are beautiful, it's like being on the Italian lakes. We had a wonderful relaxing stay, the only piece of advice is to hire a car or moped as the nearest supermarket that serves anything fresh is quite a walk away. You can get taxis but that can be costly and they don't always put the metres on. The owners of Bella Vista are very nice and invite you in to the reception area for a coffee during the day or ouzo in the evening. There is a wonderful restaurant practically at the foot of this hotel which was very handy as it was open past 11 when we arrived. There is a steep walk down to the beach but there you will find the most beautiful little cove where the water is shallow, warm and still. We would gladly return. Thank you Bella Vista for such a wonderful stay. 

Breathtaking views

This hotel has an amazing view and is absolutely lovely. The owners are so helpful and not overbearing just really wanting you to have all the information you need.  The apartments are very clean and comfortable with everything you need and fantastic sea views. 
There is not a very near place to buy groceries and water but it is still within walking distance about 15-20 mins no probs on the way there but hilly need to be reasonably fit on way back. Most residents hire a car. We like walking so didn’t. There are about three local tavernas easily reached then there are resorts that can be walked to along main road, Dassia in one direction about 30 mins and Gouvia in other direction about 40 mins, Ipsos about an hour. You do have to be careful obviously when walking on road to avoid traffic. There is a really good bus service from the main road which can go to these resorts or further. We went to corfu town easily on this bus. We managed all local resorts on foot on way there but you do need taxi back which was fine 15 euro or 30 for corfu town. 
Beautiful stay we had the pool virtually to ourselves all week which was amazing. Thank you to the team for making us so welcome. 

Beautiful hotel and setting

We stayed here for 6 days, the view form the studio is breath taking, the people were very nice. There is few bars and restaurants around the facility, but no supermarkets, you have to do you shopping elsewhere, even though there is a small mini market just below the bella vista. The service was excellentthe rooms were very clean and in a perfect shape.

A beautiful hotel with a swimming pool, a lovely place on a hill with a breathtaking view and of course the wonderful Mr. Spiros and his wife who are very hospitable. I will definitely visit this place again.

Perfect and Beautiful

Stayed at this condo for four nights in June for a wedding in Corfu. The apartment was a little smaller than it looked like in pictures, but the views were amazing. The Wi-Fi was a constant problem throughout our stay and I had to go out side in the courtyard to actually use it, it didn’t work in the room. I asked for extra towels one day and was told that they wouldn’t have any towels for the other rooms if they gave me extra.  This is the first time I’ve heard this anywhere and later walked by a linen closet full of extra towels that he didn’t want to let me use.  Another disappointment was that the pool bar wasn’t open the entire time we were there in peak summer season.

The most disappointing part of our stay was arriving a day late due to flight delays coming in from the United States. I shared this with management before I arrived and showed them communication from the airline confirming these travel issues, but they still insisted on charging me a fifth night even though I didn’t stay there. 

I work in the hotel industry myself and would always give travelers a refund for a night they didn’t stay if it was for a reason out of their control and they communicated about it. Spiros could have refunded me this fifth night but he chose not to.  It would have been easy for him to make this right and make up for the other issues we experienced, but he stood firm in his decision to collect our money for a night we didn’t stay with him.

Great views but service could be better

We arrived at midnight and received a warm welcome. 
The family could not do enough to help. 
We had a two bedroom apartment with a large terrace, the views from the balcony were absolutely stunning. 

The rooms were cleaned and fresh towels and bed linen were provided regularly. 
The bathroom was well appointed and modern the kitchen was fairly basic but perfectly adequate if you feel like cooking, but why would you?

We would recommend a car. There are a couple of really nice restaurants nearby serving great authentic Greek cuisine. 

The pool and surrounding terraces were immaculate. 

Most of the surrounding area is steep terrain so you do need to be reasonable fit, I’m fat and nearly 60 but we managed just fine. The steps up from the bar across the road give you a good cardio workout 🤣

I’d have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone. 

Finally the owners were very friendly and helpful, especially Spiros son who went above and beyond what you’d expect.

Perfect for a relaxing holiday

We enjoyed a wonderful week ... the view over the bay is breath-taking, so beautiful.   
Kommeno Bella Vista is well managed and Spiros and his wife are friendly and very helpful.    Spiros was a mine of useful information about the best places to visit and  good restaurants which he will book for you.  A stunning base for a holiday on Corfu!

We have stayed in this place 5 years in a row now  and I should have written this review much earlier as this place is AMAZING. We come every year and never tempted to look anywhere else. This year we decided to extend and move to explore the South of the island for couple of days but no, still here :)

Firstly - the views are to die for! Probably the best views on the island. 

Swimming pool - very good size, always clean and inviting. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas.

Lush gardens, palm trees and olive trees, so relaxing. Lots of comfy sitting areas to relax with a drink.

Great size comfortable rooms and great showers (very important!). Well equipped kitchens. All rooms have views! Front facing or side - you will get a super view from here.

Excellent location - close to town and few beaches, one is directly under the hotel, few steps to climb though. 2 really good tavernas near by - one is just beside the hotel and has amazing views. The other one, Panorama- 5 min walk away.

Lastly but most importantly - this is family run business and Spiros and his family are amazing! They are so friendly, helpful and welcome you like you are extended family. We met other guests here over the years and every year see the same faces. It is truly like coming home, to your holiday home, every time. We are already looking forward to near year’s return. 

Do not hesitate to book - you will probably not find a better place to stay on the island. Combination of comfort, friendliness, location, value for money and VIEWS Love it, love it, love it :)

AMAZING place to stay

Happy to add voice of praise for this location. The view is really something. The apartment (2 beds) was clean and big enough for family with 2 kids. Galley kitchen OK for basic cooking and a bathroom with a bath which was most welcome. Hire a car, as others have said. Otherwise it is quite a walk to the nearest facilities. The grounds are lovely but lots of steps so not great for anyone with mobility issues. Lovely greeting and always a smile and a wave from the owners. The only real negatives we found were the wasps (which are annoying) and the high winds which can really pick up (to the point when you cannot use the balcony - our umbrella and chairs were blown into one corner on more than one occasion). Lots of praise for the local restaurants (across the road, and one a short walk away). Overall, it suited us at the time and we will never forget that view.
