I definitely don't recommend. We made a reservation on booking for one apartment with sea view close to the beach at 98euros per night. When we arrived, the owner told us the apartment is not available and that he will accommodate us in another location that he had. This location was somewhere on the hill, far from the beach and from the city, only a triple room with old furniture. He would have given us that room at the same price of 98euros per night even on booking that room was rated at 56euros per night. We didn't accept to stay there at the price of 98euros per night. I told him to give us the difference of money or to refund us the money paid for the apartment. He didn't want he told us that we have two options,  to stay there where he has free room or to cancel the reservation from booking which was also paid (that meant we would loose our money - 390 euros for 4 nights). If we don't accept his options he will cancel our reservation and we will lose our koney anyways. So we told him that we'll think and give him an answer. Meanwhile I called to booking, described the situation and fortunately they cancelled the reservation and assured me that i'll get my money back - thing that happened already. The owner also told us laughing that there are loosers who pay him 140 euros per night in full season and he sends them to the horrible place on hill. So he is a big spike. Also the pool is very small and dirty. Unfortunately it was the only thing in that accomodation that we could see, because it was outside, in front of the villa. Avoid booking on his place, you will lose your money and time. Thanks to him we missed a full sunny beach day searching another accommodation, and i mention that we had two little kids with us and he didn't care about. Run away from this location. The owner is a crook

I don't recommend

Even though my friend booked in January to stay here the owner decided to move her to his "new" accomodation in town. She was very unhappy, after arriving at midnight she had to make her own bed, no hangers in the wardrobe, it was up several hills, (she has 2 new hips and is 78) basic accomodation but with new windows and a sink! She decided not to stay and found other accomodation in Vassiliki Bay Hotel which she said was wonderful and cheaper and luckily on the flat area in the town. He charged her 290 euros for 1 night and a taxi ride, he said it was because she had let him down and he couldn't rent out the room to anyone else! I personally think it's disgusting behaviour. If you book a room in January to then be told in July just before you arrive that your staying elsewhere and you have no idea what your going to stay in.

Moved to a different location

We liked: the position in the middle of the beach, the view on the bay,  the functional rooms, the hospitality of the team. Comfort and accessibility are as expected.

Possible improvement: providing breakfast.

Perfectly positioned

Me and my 4 other family members shared 2 rooms (1 single and 1 double in each room) for 2 weeks. The overall appearances of the studios is nice but there is not much space. Unfortunately the beds are not very good and gave my dad terrible back ache. The AC unit is very good though and cools the room quickly which is much needed. When we stayed here the cleaner never cleaned our room and only emptied the bin which was annoying. Also the shower head broke so we had to sit under the tap, we told the cleaner the second day but it wasnt fixed until the next week. Aside everything these studios have a nice pool and are only a 1-2 minute walk from the beach and the legendary club vass!!

Great location but not sure why called 'luxury' studios

A colleague recommended Calypso to us last August.  It was our first time in Lefkada and I can honestly say it was the most amazing Summer we’ve ever had. The rooms were very comfortable and for August, value for money was excellent! As for location, it suited us perfectly. Since the apartments are nestled in the more quiet part of town, we had the peace we were looking for, while also being only minutes away from the incredible beaches and nightlife. The owner of the Calypso was very hospitable and proved quite the tour guide as well, giving us great advise on places to visit, great local taverns and “must see” attractions. We plan to visit lefkada again this summer and will of course stay at calypso. For anyone looking for summer holidays, I recommend Calypso luxury studios!

Highly recommended

We recently stayed once again at Calypso for a couple nights & were pleasantly surprised at the developments in the pool area. So much so that we've placed a booking for 2 weeks in August! I always find it great value for money. The rooms are new, clean & close to all the main attractions. The kitchens are fully equiped, which means we also save money by not having to eat out daily. The owner is always very keen to assist in any way possible and even drove us to a near by town, as we were in a rush; something you dont often find.. I thoroughly recommend Calypso luxury studios and cant wait til our next visit in August!
