Ugly hotel, terrible service, terrible location. The beach is a 15 minute walk along the road with many cars, it is not nice there. Definitely not recommended. Very little food and no nightlife, any shops...

Terrible holiday, not as I expected

We had a nice stay in this hotel and when we came to the holiday, we understood why. We were located on the ground floor of the hotel, the room smelled of beer and the room was dirty. The Internet almost did not exist. TV captured two channels.

Terrible holiday

First of all, I have to say that I should consider the fact that I payed a really low price for this hotel as I purchased a last minute offer from a travel agency. Keeping that in mind, I should give this hotel 3 stars instead of two, but... it wouldn't be fair to the other ones I reviewed. 

So, the hotel has some potential, but... it's pretty far from Nydri center/harbour, so you have a 15-20 min walk. It has a beach nearby (and it's nice one) 5-10 min walk. For bars and restaurants, you have to walk about 10 min. You could take a bus, as the station is next to the hotel. The area looks pretty tired and poor.

The swimming pool and the outdoors don't look that bad and they're clean enough. There are some stray cats, that will be present at breakfast, as they are very hungry.

An important thing is that in fact, there are 2 Poseidon Hotels in the same yard and they share the same pool and terrace. I don't know if there is a difference in quality, but the other one looked a bit better.

The room was pretty large, but everything was dated and not too well cleaned, besides the sheets and towels. It had a kitchenette and a fridge, but not anything else: no plates, pans, cutlery or things like that. The shower drain was clogged, the moschitto net was destroyed, and we had the tiniest tv I ever saw (but it didn't matter anyway, it only had 4 channels).

The included breakfast wasn't really that bad, but the way everything was organised it didn't look good. The arguing and fights between staff members especially at breakfast time didn't help.

As I've seen, there were 3 employees at that time: the receptionist (which tried his best), the cleaning lady and the kitchen lady, all of them overwhelmed and probably underpaid. 

At the reception you cannot find any maps or helpful materials, except for the tourism agency excursions. They had some commercials for rent a car but very expensive.

I think you can do better than this hotel in Lefkada. It has potential, but it is bad managed.

Thank goodness it's cheap

We waited a lot to check in because it was only one cleaning lady and it did't cleaned the room so good. The breakfast was awfull. 
If you wanna have a beautiful view you must stay at the 3rd floor. 
If you wanna go to Nidri you must walk 20-25 minutes from the hotel. 
If you wanna visit the waterfall and you dind'nt rent a car, a taxi can take you there for 12 € and then walk for 15min in the mountain.
I don't recomand you this hotel.

Not as I expected

I had booked via phone a day before our arrival. The price was so good so I thought that was a perfect opportunity. The room did not have television while there was not remote control for the air contrition. The roof was leaking continuously while there were no dark curtains at the window. The stuff were friendly but I do not want visit it again.

A day in Nydri 

Food was good, rooms were ok ( any ways we didn't spend so much time in there ) I didn't like the bathroom, for me wasn't clean enough ! And  if u need somebody from the reception in the night, u won't be able to find  ! Millions of mosquitos in and out the hotel  and the cats in the yard are so so aggressive that a little girl got bitten by them in front my eyes . Staff wasn't very happy ether I was with a group of Romanians (I'm not a Romanian ) but we weren't treated very well they even though us that this are the rooms for Romanians!!! I guess anther nationality get better service and rooms ! We were there from the 28th of July till 4th of August !
