Petra is the perfect spot in Mytilini, and the hotel is in the perfect spot in Petra. One side of the hotel is next to the sea and the other side overseas the mountains. The family who runs it are great people. They do their best to make you feel home. Will visit again!

excellent value right in Petra Centre!

we stayed for 5 days. it is right in front of the beach with many beach bars and umbrellas. Now, the decor is old fashioned but at the same time very interesting. it is basic but clean. i think the most important feature of the hotel is that it is run by KIND people. They will do whatever you ask to make your stay more comfortable and pleasant. The cleaning is meticulous and thorough and towels and sheets are truly clean. that being said, i have to recommend a couple of things to the administration ; 1)  the beach bar that is adjacent to your hotel needs improving. we got to beach early ( around 10.00 ) and the service for the bar arrived at past 11. if you have sb constantly on beach to see who comes you can make more money. i saw tourists who came, sat for hours and never purchased anything because no one came to take their order. 
2) sb needs to be at reception desk 24/7. residents must have sb to talk to about ... anything really. you must be available.
if you are looking for a hotel conviently placed near the beach, with polite and kind people who will try to make your stay pleasant then this is perfect. the wi fi was great and the breakfast was frugal but with local products ( cheese, olives, eggs, fruit..)

like visiting relatives

This hotel has beds of stone, didn't sleep a bit in them. Also it is outdated far beond this age. The town of Petra is very nice to visit, but there should be ample hotels that are better in the neighberhood.

This is our third year at lesvos, second year at this hotel. The family who runs the place is lovely, the hotel is old but the rooms are clean, the breakfast is more than enough. The cleaning lady is always smiling and helpful, Leonidas an his wife is the most lively couple. His father and uncle are a bit chatty (in the most wonderful way). We talked about old times, movies, marriages etc. We even played backgammon :) 

The tavern right next to the hotel at the beach is stratos, owned by Klion and his brother. I also advise their place. Their prices are 50cents higher than the other cafes but the chat with Klion is worth every cent. 

There is a lot more to say about this hotel and petra. Go and experience it yourselves :) Hope to see you next year :))

We have stayed at this hotel for two nights at the beginning of September 2014.Rooms have aircondition,balcony,tv,frigde,hair dryer and very simple decorated but very clean.Hotel is old but what we had at our room was more than ok during our stay.Free Wifi works very well,even at the beach and also at Reef Restaurant.Owners are always here with their smile to help to the guests.Here sea was perfect,warm enough and sandy.Highly recommended to take a break at this friendly hotel if you are touring this part of the island.
