We stayed for one week. 
Very clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast, in one word - excellent. 
The owner, Panos, is really professional. 
He helped us find our way around the island and offered further help when we had some technical issues with the car. 
It may be rated as a 3* hotel, but Mr. Panos' hotel punches well above its weight. 

In one word-Excellent

We visited in early June 2017 and were very pleased with this hotel. The rooms are big and very clean. Service was very friendly, wifi worked...Everything seems to be really well thought of and taken good care of with attention to detail ( e.g. the garden, good sun beds, showers/ changing rooms one can use on the day of check-out...). 

The restaurant was also surprisingly good, much better than the touristy places at the beach ( well the George tavern and Agistri are very good). Limenaria is very small, so everything is within walking distance from the hotel, including the beach. You can stay at any spot at the beach so it's not a problem if the hotel isn't at the beach front. 

Even though this is an apartment hotel, it is very 'hotel like'; rooms are cleaned every day etc. The only slightly negative thing I can think of is the busy road in front of the hotel, but it didn't bother us. 

I would say this is definitely a 3-star hotel, not just 2-star. I would highly recommended it! Very good value for money. 

Nice, well-run and clean hotel close to everything 

We have just returned from a holiday on thassos. We spent most evenings at the garden hotel which is run by a great host in panos. We stayed here a couple of years ago and we're blown away by the great rooms and cleanliness of the entire hotel. The garden hotel bar has just been renovated to a very high standard and looks wonderful. The rooms are due to be renovated this closed season, how they can better the rooms I don't know but I will look forward to seeing the rooms next year when we will be returning. We also ate here and the food was of a high standard and presented very well. I would recommend staying at the garden hotel if you feel like being looked after by a wonderful family in a great resort.thanks again panos for your hospitality we had a great time again

Fantastic garden hotel

Nice place, clean rooms, acceptable breakfast, nice garden, not too far from the city. Had a covered parking across the street which was especially convenient in the summer heat. Also has kitchen utensils which we didn't use. However, it is located on the main road so you do hear the trucks and nosy motorcycles which are quite popular on Thassos.

Nice hotel in a nice place

A small, family-run hotel, Garden sports a fantastic and friendly staff. The owner was always on-hand and ready to accommodate any requests. The location is ideal, off the main strip but a two-minute walk from the city center and beach. The hotel itself is nestled back in lovely little gardens, creating a feeling of being removed from the hustle and bustle. My niece took full advantage of the pool, which is cleverly shaded by the building.

Served daily, the breakfast was simple and featured fresh fruit, tomatoes, cucumbers, meats, cheese, olives, breads and honey. We had dinner at the restaurant on our last night. The grilled octopus was tender and the lamb was succulent. Three Euros buys you a huge glass of wine!

The facilities and rooms were clean. While simple, the accommodations were exactly what we were looking for. The kitchenettes made making salads and snacks during siesta time convenient. We just popped over to the grocery store, grabbed some veggies and made ourselves at home.

One really helpful aspect is that the cleaning staff is Bulgarian. While my husband and I speak English, my sister-in-law and niece do not. So the cleaning staff were very helpful in making their stay more comfortable.

Truly the location gives you a little break from the droves of tourists crawling the main drag of Limenaria down by the beach. We found it was conveniently located to everything we wanted to see. Be aware that Limenaria is a village about a 35 minute drive from the port city located in Limenas Thasou, and not located in the main town. I would definitely recommend Garden.
