Marina, thank you very much for being such a gracious host during our time at your apartments from 20th July to 1st August. It was a fantastic experience🙏 Now Creta is in our hearts forever! 
We appreciate your kindness. Your household was warm and friendly. It was wonderful meeting everyone; they were all such a joy to be around. Thank you so much for the wonderful greeting.
Your hubby’s cuisine was incredible! The restaurant is always welcoming;) your apartments were always clean (thanx to Katerina🫶🏻) and very cozy. 
Overall, it was a great adventure. We’ll never forget these holidays!

Malia Star ❤️

Great place run by the best family around nothing is too much and excellent food from the cook with over 40 years of experience. Rooms are clean, only 15min walk to the best beach(potamos) and 5min walk from all the shops and supermarkets. A place to call home away from home.

lovely place to stay I highly recommend 

Yet another year passed with a wonderful summer holiday here at Maliastar. What a wonderful family the hospitality is above expectations. Near the centre and the beach it is the best place to stay. Enjoy the Greek sun food and environment!!!

summer holiday 

We have stayed at Malia Star Apartments for 5 nights and we have only good words about the accommodation. The apartments are large enough, the sleeping part being separated from the living/kitchen part  gives it a cosy air, the bathroom is small but ok, the balcony is allright, too, all the offered facilities are well kept and working, the cleaning is super. They offer a nice shady parking lot, too. Well, I want to get to the heart of it: the people! Datseris family, who are in charge with the business are the greek generosity embodied! We ate at the restaurant for several times and Mr Dimitri, the Chef of the place made our dinners memorable with greatly cooked greek food and many extra surprises, Mrs Marina, his wife,  made us feel special with her warm-hearted way of treating customers and Nikos, the son, being prompt and ready to help you with no matter what! The place itself is nice and comfortable but the heart of it are these charming and hard-working people who made me feel overwhelmed and sorry I had to leave. They don't offer just an accommodation place and a taverna for some food, but an entirely real Greek experience including great feelings.

wonderful!

Nikos and his family were wonderful and gave us a lovely welcome, despite our slightly late arrival. We came as a group of girls and felt completely comfortable and loved every moment of our stay. We had access to the pool which was super close and the beach was only a short walk, as was the strip. Quite simply the perfect location! We had some amazing food too! One night we all ordered pizza and they were amazing! Nikos helped us to organise a trip to Spinalonga on our third day which was very much appreciated. The rooms and restaurant were spotless and had a lovely traditional vibe. The air con worked well too as did the supplies to cook with. Although we were a group of girls who were going out to the clubs etc this place is also perfect for families- we made sure to be as quiet as possible in the night as it was understood that this lack of disturbance was something Nikos felt passionately about to give to his guests. Having said that we weren't trying too hard to be quiet all of the time - I guess the walls must be very thick! Either way, we had the perfect holiday and we will definitely miss the Malia Star and it's lovely hosts for sure! I recommend them wholeheartedly- with 17 pounds a night we really couldn't go wrong!

such friendly and welcoming owners and staff, beautiful typical Greek restaurant (with incredible greek food!) and apartment rooms and 5-10 to the main strip, beach and pool. best value for money in Malia for sure!

Best stay in Malia!

Been here several times but this was the best so far as we were able to surprise our friends. We had the top floor apartment this time and what a luxury with a great sitting area and a view towards the sea. At the other side a small balcony with a view over the mountains. I can't think of a better place to stay and enjoy the holidays.The family is always helpful and has the best cook in town.

surprise week

whenever I think of a holiday at Crete there is only one place to come in mind. This right here the best place owned by a wonderful family that makes you feel at home right away. Lovely fresh cooked meals and wonderful apartments to rest. The beach is nearby as well as the shopping centre.

Maybe is not a 5 star hotel, but Datseris family do their best to have a pleasent holiday! Our apartment "one bedroom apartment for 3" is quit spacius with nice colors and cheerfull floral curtains and pillows. Air-condition runs perfectly and we have a power line plug for the wifi with quite good reception.

One of the best gyros in many , Lovely settings for a breakfast,lunch, dinner.
Value for money is very good, typical Greek friendly welcome, visited for the last 5 years
