This is not the first time  my family is visiting Methana or the hotel Ai Pigai. We keep coming back. Methana in general is a lovely place to walk around, eat and go swimming and if you have a vehicle you can explore nearby areas. The hotel is what captured us. It is very close to the port 5'-10' distance. It has thermal baths, spa and a pool to suit your needs. Everything is pristine clean, Mr George and the stuff are very welcoming and helpful if you need any suggestions. The breakfast is very fulfilling. Plus the view of the small port and the attached island is also very picturesque. Overall it is a very relaxing  atmosphere and I recommend it to people who want to relax. 

A relaxing welcoming place. 

The historical building of the Ai Pigai (the water sources in classic Greek) date back to 1936. Since then royalties, foreign and Greek visitors came to this hotel to take advantage of the suphurous thermal waters coming from the sleeping volcano of the Methana peninsula
The facade of the building still remains the same but the rooms and the services have been improved to professional modern standards.
The warm thermal water in the outside pool is changed twice a day and, if you prefer a private therapy, there are many cabins with marble tubs and a relaxing hydromassage. 
The view from the rooms and the breakfast terrace is the best in town: you can see the touristic marina, the pine and the palm trees, the beach and the sulphured lake in front of the historical building of the Spa.
The price for this "hidden gem" is incredibly cheap and the personnel of the hotel really kind and helpful.
