The mountain road to Agios Ioanis is narrow and difficult but the views along it were amazing! Upon arriving down to the city you can see sea and sky without any border, no horizon, just big blue in front of you...Accomodation was OK. There was everything from room description we recieved but it was a little bit old and dirty. Guys from the agency were willing to help and were very kind but in fact till the end they did not repair/replace supliances we required(or refrigirator and oven were not working as espected). Also after some rainy nights we did not have internet whole next day. Also on the second floor wifi connection is weak and slow.

Though journey to the paradise

View is gorgeous and rooms are spacious. We were lucky to get a place at all as everything else in the area was sold out so thankful to get the apartment for 2 nights. I definitely prefer this place to the one Lonely Planet recommends at the bottom of the same path primarily because this one has a lot more privacy. Bedrooms and beds are fine. Kitchen and bathroom another story. I wouldn't even attempt cooking anything other than coffee in the kitchen. Bathroom gets flooded every time you have a shower or flush the toilet. But you get what you pay for....so was reasonable for what we paid. 

Meh...but thankful. 

The apartments are clean and comfortable. The view is incredible. It's a short and pleasant stroll to the town where there are several small supermarkets and a lot of good restaurants. There is a restaurant very close by right opposite the beach which used to be excellent but now serves very poor quality food and is overpriced so it's worth the walk into town. We had a problem with a bar/cafe right next to us as they were playing music from 10am until midnight. This became intolerable after a couple of days as it was impossible to relax on the balcony to read a book. It also made having breakfast on the balcony an annoying experience and not the way to start the day. We made a complaint to the rental agency and they moved us to a place further down the beach which was also very nice. The cooker in Papa Nero studios was old and broken. The agent assured us they would fix this but we were moved to new accommodation so I'm not sure if they did fix it. The rental agent seems to handle the vast majority of properties in the area and although very helpful (eventually) he had a bit of an attitude. I would go back to Papa Nero studios if the noise problem with the bar downstairs is resolved. Otherwise I would look elsewhere. It's a real shame as this is such a great location and good value for money.

The best location in Greece

We spent a few days in these simple but charming studios, equipped with cooking corners, and we found each other more than good. Their peculiarity is given by a large terrace facing directly on the sea, with on one side a large barbecue and a rooftop table. The beach is below, a few meters away; just go down the steep road and you are already there.
