We flew spontaneously to Lemnos for five days because my son wanted to see the island, which is the model for his favorite computer game:). Fortunately, he also knew that there are windmills there - and that there is a hotel there - we were enchanted by this lovely homeowner couple from the first second. Breakfast was brought when you open the windows. We've never experienced this kind of hospitality, we got the best tips for restaurants and we were even invited to a bicycle tour.

A fairytale! A place that you should visit even once in your life.
I found out about Limnos Windmills from an article related to the North Aegean island from a travel magazine. We decided to go there because we didn’t want a hotel accommodation or something stressing or 
protocol. We wanted something friendly, familiar but also amazing and unique.
Great position at the entrance in Kontias village, from where you have access to the whole island of Limnos. 
The fifth windmill, where we have stayed was well designed and very nice organised and efficiently equipped.
We had comfort even the space provided wasn’t so large.
The hidden gem at this place is the delicious, traditional and original breakfast brought form the Σαρικλις bakery. 
The staff and the owner Teo were very helpful and attentive. 
The bar in the evening was nice and charming. Maybe the music was loud in the night. 


Astonishing place with such a pleasant atmosphere!

An experience of sleeping in a mill in Kontias is possible!!!very good quality d proper breakfast accommodation served in the morning in a garnished basket of course it is a mill so stone staircase and staircase but very good comfort thanks to the hosts

Exceptional

Unique stay inside an old windmill! Traditional and you keep away from everything!!! 
The communication was excellent, we had everything we needed. The breakfast was served on a basket and it was more than enough for 2 persons!

Amazing!!!

Very nice place to sleep in windmills revised and refurbished with taste management could be better breakfast served in a basket that is made in the shade of the mill (inside is impossible) Also if there is no melting you die of heat because anyway the environments are narrow once in life however it is an experience to do

Suggestive but improving

The place is very nice and the mills have been smartly and tastefully renovated. The only thing new is the breakfast: the idea is nice because they bring you a basket of bread, cookies, etc., but it is very uncomfortable and organized, especially for drinks. There is no reception.

Delicious but improving

I went there with my girlfriend and stayed four nights. The place is just perfect and I really enjoyed the breakfast they served us under the shadow of the big windmil. I hope I will visit this place again.

It was a dream come true

Kontias village is one of the most picturesque villages of the island. and our stay in limnos windmills was amazing! Apart form the fabulous view...  Staff were very friendly and helpful and made us  feel like home.. A big thank you to Theodors and Stella!!

My visit to limnos windmills

Sleeping will soon reveal itself to be a nightmare: the noise in the room at night prevents sleep (the blades of the windmill with the wind blowing continuously); the bathroom is very wet and dark, we found a frog and it is on the ground floor, so not near the bed and the stone staircase leading to the upper floor is very uncomfortable, not normal, almost dangerous. But what left us perplexed were the services: an embarrassing breakfast, no drink (maximum soluble coffee to make yourself but no refrigerator to do it with...), fresh bread without marble, only 1 single cup of honey from Limnos and tomatoes available.

What a terrible avoidance!

we stayed in a windmill for our week in Lemnos and the experience was beautiful. The room are fashinating, and has all comfort in a little space. Downastairs there are bathroom and a little spot with fridge and micro wave hoven.
Upstairs you will find the bedroom and handmade forniture.
You can enjoy the breakfast on the private terrace, eating excellent local products.
To welcome there is Stella, a very kind host as well as the woman who manage the daiky cleaning. The windmills are absolutely a good experience to try.
