This was the friendliest and most accommodating hotel I have ever had the pleasure to visit. From checkin to checkout they made us feel so welcome and we knew we could ask them for anything we needed. The free pick up and drop off at the ferry/airport was wonderful and the breakfasts they served were simply amazing. Easy walk into the town of Chora. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Naxos. 

Hotel Grotta

Had an Excellent experience at The Grotta. Nicoletta and her crew work very hard to provide immaculate, comfortable rooms in a lovely sea view setting conveniently located near the harbor. The breakfast was wonderful. It’s also a nice touch that they provided free transfers to and from the ferry.

Solid 3 Star Hotel

This was our favourite hotel from our 5 that we stayed at in Greece. 
They provided a free pickup and drop off at the port which was really helpful and a great start, no worry about how to get there when we arrived on the ferry.
The room was spotlessly clean with a lovely big comfortable bed.  
The breakfast spread was amazing, absolutely anything you could want from fruit, yoghurt, Greek pastries, cakes, chilled roast vegetables, tomatoes, cucumber, carrot, cold ham and cheese, and lots more.
We used the spa area one afternoon which was lovely to soak our aching legs after climbing Mount Zas.  It has to be booked for a 30minute slot which you have to yourselves.
The location was perfect: a 5 minute walk into Naxos town but in a residential area so it was very quiet at night.  However it was right on the front with wonderful sunset views over the Portara from both the bar/restaurant area and the 3rd floor roof seting area. We could also see it from our room and many rooms have a sunset view but not all.  The 12 ladies who run it are very friendly and very helpful.  I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.  It was excellent value too.
We hired a car and there was plenty of on street parking in the neighbourhood.


Fabulous hotel in a fabulous location - truly #1

This place is #1 for a reason! The staff is friendly, so helpful & treats you like family. The rooms are clean & modern. And the food is delicious!Included breakfast is amazingly varied, plentiful & homemade. We also had dinner one night, which was so tasty. The Grotta’s location is walking distance to the waterfront, Old Town & the Portara. And the views are incredible!!  We would highly recommend staying here.

A must stay!

There’s a fabulous fabulous hotel with an amazing staff. From the minute you walk in the door they are warm and welcoming.  The room is beautiful and clean and it comes with a lovely breakfast. I’ve never met a staff that is so overly helpful and really makes you feel welcome. Stay here and you’ll have a wonderful time.

Fabulous hotel & staff

We had an excellent stay at the Grotta Hotel. I would like to emphasize first of all the warm welcome of Nicoletta and all her staff. I have traveled all over the world and it is by far the best welcome I have received from a hotel. Home (registration and departure): 10/10. A sense of hospitality I have rarely met. The site overlooking the sea and the Portara.

An unforgettable experience, a perfect stay!

I join the chorus of positive reviews to emphasize the MAGNIFIC ACCOOLIENCE received at the hotel Grotta. I was chosen especially for the positive reviews related to breakfast from their offer and the care of the rooms, we were impressed from the moment of booking by the timeliness, kindness and availability of staff to our requests. Impression then confirmed at our arrival after the reception that was reserved for us by Dimitra and the other girls. The guest is cheerful, always greeted with a smile and never in a hurry. The location is perfect, just outside the Chungeora of Naxos which is reached with a short panoramic walk. From the hotel and in particular by its convenience, the guest enjoys a view of the moisture of the sea and in the Port of Arras.

The reception has a name: HOTEL GROTTA!

It's a hotel that has stayed in our heart. A fantastic location on top of a small hill a few minutes' walk from the port and the center. A room with sea view, sunset view and a fantastic view of the Apollo Gate. Everything is super clean. The spa is a chick. The breakfast is the biggest I've ever seen. A 2-star hotel that's definitely worth it.

A great hotel, very good location, impeccable rooms, perfect breakfast (and in addition to gluten-free products). The staff are very welcoming and smiling, they are really a great plus to the quality of this hotel.
