My 18year old daughter was travelling around Greece and a couple of days before arriving at Simos, they cancelled for no reason and left her completely stranded. We tried contacting them but they completely ignored all our messages. Booking.com emailed and called them but they also ignored them. We had to go and find her a new place to stay last minute which at that time, cost her double to price. Do not stay here, they can’t be trusted and have awful service.

Awful!

We booked more than 3 months in advance and when we arrived in Naxos we were told by the owner of Studios Simos that he had no room but that his sister had accommodation.When the lady took us to the room we almost died of horror. A small, dark and unclothed kitchenette. We refused and had to discuss. We were in Naxos in August and without accommodation, nervous.At the end and after we got angry they called someone and we stayed in a rather decent boarding house, where we were fine.The impression I get is that on the web they teach you the beauty and offer more rooms than they have and when you are in the studio Simos fills other rooms that would never rent but are engaging as is my advice.

Very bad, very bad.

Our experience with Studio Simos started very badly, she changed the room for two nights with another studio to earn us over. The other two nights we were in our own which was very nice. The hotel manager is unhygienic and rude. At the time of payment she refused to accept the card and put it on a stage pretending that the post didn't work.

Nice room, but the rest 0

Studio Simos is located not too far from the sea and the city center. Positive the transfer they offer free from the port to the apartment and vice versa. The room was on the terrace, which is why it was very very very hot, also very small, the tiny bathroom, the shower idem. The person who welcomed us was not particularly available, she almost refused to accompany us to the room because she had leg pain.

I'm being discreet.

Apartment with bad sound on the edge of a busy street, noisy ventilation, interior needs a serious refreshment, lack of dishes and kitchen utensils, disappointing home.

What to Avoid

They took us to a different apartment claiming that the other was in trouble, and they made us wait an hour in this new apartment while they were badly cleaning... and at the check-out a lady came up with the key and ringing the doorbell at 9:30 in the morning to clean it up!

It is unacceptable!

As several other comments, we booked somewhere else in the old city and were “invited” to go at Studios Simos.

The location is near the beach, 20mn walk from the city.

Our room was ok for the budget, even though the shower is not correctly equipped which means there is water everywhere and they don’t change the towels used on the floor. 

Plus, the woman in charge on site was not very nice nor polite, and they make a lot of noise each morning, which is very unpleasant for guests while on vacation. Also they didn’t allow us to pay by card.

Ok for small budgets. 

Disappointed as we booked somewhere else

I spent 8 nights on the island and one of these I spent at Simos only because it was full elsewhere. I'm not hiding that here I paid more than other places and it's angry then having to sleep in a basement where the only panoramic view you have is on the wall (room 15).

If there's nothing better

We stayed in Simos for 4 nights and were very happy with the accomadation. Room was dated but clean and we found the staff very helpful. Short walk to town and to the beach. Also check out Heaven's Cafe if you do stay here as it is just around the corner and does great breakfast!

Excellent value, clean room, good location

We booked in for one night as we couldn't extend our stay at our previous accommodation.  Thankfully this was only for a night and we literally just slept there and left early.
We had a basement room, so it is possible other rooms are nicer.  Of course this means  our outside space had a nice wall view with the air conditioning blowing the warm air on to us.  Handy for for those hot sunny days.
The beds had seen better days, as had the sheets.  The fridge and cooking equipment was something out of the 1980s and so we barely used them.
There were no staff around when we arrived (admittedly a bit later than we had said due to our boat trip being late back) we did manage to contact them but it appeared there was no-one on site, and the entrance was as obvious as others in the area.
They do offer a port pick up/drop off and share this with Irene Studio which is helpful but the times are limited.
If you need somewhere for a night and don't want to spend a lot of money go for it, I would not stay here for any great length of time, however in a different room perhaps you would have a better experience.  Certainly don't yourself booked in the basement rooms.
