we arrived with no reservation nor fuel in the car on Easter night. It was stormy and cold and the hotel was fully booked by a large family gathering.
Kyriaki, the owner and her friend Aspasia gone creasy to arrange a place for us to shower, sleep and eat.
We were very grateful and overwhelmed by the warm and kind hospitality. 
In the morning the helped us to sort out the fuel issue.
Breakfast was great, the location is perfect, since Kalarites is a traditional village, no cars allowed, and the hotel is located near the parking, warm and cozy.

We felt at home 

We booked for three nights one room for 3 persons (couple+son 16 years old). As it was end of August and there weren't many visitors in the village of Kalarrytes, we stayed finally in 2 rooms, as our son preferred to be some hours alone! The view is magnificent., just as it is described in the webpage.
All the rooms were very beautifully decorated as also the bar/sitting room. After arrangement we could eat with the owner's family, so we were feeling an air of real hospitality and not a formal relationsip between ownerb and visitor. Although we have to visit many attractions in the area we were glad to sit in the bar and play (backgammon) or hear music and have our drink (sweets were also available!). Breakfast is Ok, marmelades and pies are homemade.
Something you must forget in Kalarytes is TV, only 2 or 3 channels are available!
In the area someone can visit the 2 museums of the village, the famous monastery of Kipina (also a museum), the big village of Pramanta and Sirako, the cave of Pramanta (with interior river) and walk the path from Kalarytes to Sirako (unfortenately it was partially destroyed and therefore dangerous) or the pittoresque paths to the mill.

EVERYTHING WAS AS EXPECTED

The agreed terms were not what was offered. The excuse was that the agreement was booked with one of the owners, who was a musician. Because of that, he did not know exactly the rules, so they changed all the arrangements!!!! I told them that his name is referred on the web page of the hotel, and the artistic nature of an owner does not justify such a behavior. In vain!!!!

A very well kept small hotel, rebuilt in the traditional style of the village. A very warm welcome by the owners in a very cosy atmosphere. The hotel has a bar and offers also small meals, more choise during the season. We have enjoyed the magnificent view from the terrace on the beautiful surrounding mountains, while taking our breakfast, reading a book or drinking a glass of wine in the evening. Aggelo the owner helped us making our program for the visits ( monastries, nice villages ) and the walks ( e.g. the one to Syrako, a must! ). Open all year, but a reservation phone call is necessary; a few restaurants in the village too.
