I and my partner and her teenage daughter have just spent 11 nights at the Creta Spirit Apartments. Echoing so many of the reviews on here Maria and Theo really are the perfect hosts. From the moment we arrived they were kind, gracious and a font of information on the local amenities and wider Crete. 

My partner had been to Plakias before and stayed at a local hotel, she was clear that whilst that stay was good, the Creta Spirit is exceptional. The view from the 1st floor apartment is simply incredible as it faces out over the Libyan sea, with the island of Gavdos visible in the distance. Each night we would turn out the lights and observe the night sky with a clarity impossible in the UK.

Souda Beach is a short walk away and we found it nicer than the beach in Plakias as well as an intimate cove which is 30 seconds to get to and provides perfect snorkelling opportunities. 

All in all a perfect holiday and we will be back next year.

Perfect Accommodation in the perfect location

The location and the view are just perfect, as well as the hosts. The apartment is big and has a well equipped kitchen, wireless internet and cable TV. The place is super clean and offers quite and privacy. Great value for money. We really enjoyed our stay and will come back for sure. 

Just perfect

we have just spend 5 nights again at these beautiful apartments. Maria and Theo are lovely people and always make you feel very welcome. The apartments are lovely and clean and a very good size. Our balcony this time was huge and we sat out at night overlooking the sea and watching the stars. This was total peace and tranquillity. Highly recommend for people that love to be away from the noisy part of Plakias and Souda.

Another fantastic stay at these beautiful apartments

This is our favourite place for peace and quiet. The views are amazing you can hear the sea at night and the owners are the best people you could wish for. We have stayed here before. 3 years ago and we loved it just as much again. We booked 3 nights and extended our stay to 8 nights and still didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be back again soon. 

Peace and tranquility 

I stayed here 6 nights with my family in July. I made the reservation by email directly to the properties after I paid an advance. We were waiting for the arrival of the owners with the prepared apartment and the cold water. They are very friendly and they know very well English. They then gave us a very good yogurt and olive oil from their own production.
The ground floor apartment is very spacious, cool, clean, with sea views and terrace. Cleaning every day, changing towels and linen to 3 days. The apartment is equipped with a fully furnished and equipped kitchen with a huge fridge and an electric stove. Has a hood, coffee maker, hair dryer, pots and kitchen utensils.
The view from the rooms is gorgeous, the street does not hear the cars, and the evening sees the sea in the moonlight, just like on the balcony of a cruise ship.
Sleeping well, beds in the bedroom and living room are comfortable. AC works very well, the internet is good.
It is a good base to visit the south of the island, in Plakias and in the above villages there are many taverns where you eat good and cheap. The easiest way to the south is 97. Near the Villa at 200m to the west are two small bays where you can make the beach, a good bathroom, down the picturesque paths.

We have stayed in Creta Spirit many times. The accommodation is immaculate and everything about the accommodation is to the highest standards. The views are amazing, excellent self catering facilities and no noise. Pleasant walks to Souda Bay and into Plakias. Good swimming from the small bay below the rooms.
