Excellent family  hotel at great location. Clean, comfortable, just by the (sandy) beach. Very friendly stuff. 10 minutes walk from town center, at a quieter part of town. 
Great taverna  on premises and a nice beach bar. Highly recommended!

Great hotel, perfect location

We stayed 6 nights at this hidden gem. A small family-run hotel. All rooms simple and nice. Very clean. Rooms are cleaned every day. This is not modern luxury - but you will find everything you need, in a basic and practical way. The family running the place will leave you alone, if you prefer that - and if you contact them, you will meet friendliness. We have been here before, and we will be back.

Beautifully placed in the far end of the beach. Very clean and very friendly place.

It was a real pity for the holiday. Right next to the otherwise wonderful apartment complex, another steel-concrete building was erected. At the first excavation, the foundation and the fence were already there, which was poured out and at the same time it was still dug right behind our hedge. Sitting on the terrace was therefore unbearable by dust, noise and stench from the exhaust from trucks and miners, the noise in the apartment was still uncomfortable even with closed windows. From the progress of construction, it can be concluded that this construction site did not suddenly appear overnight - so not only was it possible to sit on the terrace, but also that we would not have to worry about a substitute quarters.

Building noise right next door

We visited with family for our first visit of the year and as usual The Paligremnos did not disapoint.
The same personel and the clealiness of the rooms were as usual, High.
The BEach Bar and taberna were also up to their usual  high standards.

Great Location and Value

The rooms are really impeccable, well furnished and well equipped with a small kitchenette and a nickel refrigerator/freezer, a small balcony. Some rooms have a sea view, others on the mountain. Daily amenities. At the end of the beach so away from the noise of the center of Plakias (10 minutes walk) There is only to cross the road (no traffic) to the beach which is right in front, naturist or textile choice depending on the chosen side. There is also a family tavern where you can eat well and a beach bar. Prices are really competitive (40€ the room with double bed in August) and the welcome as you like in Crete. This is my 2nd and friendly trip back to Crete.

Flawless and Well Located

What a lovely treat staying here can be.
Spotless rooms, comfy bed, regular cleaning (pm!👍), decent shower & hot water, fridge, 2x small hotplate, clean kitchen utensils and very efficient aircon ☺ The location is nice too; right across from the 'best section' of the sandy beach (that has numerous beds/parasols for 'inexpesive' hire) and is a short (10 mins) stroll from a number of shops, a great bakery, two or three good supermarkets and a wide selection of eateries (taverns/  restaurant) with most overlooking the beach & Mediterranean Sea 😎
Biggest plus point was the LACK of big business & corporate hotel groups..... so you really feel that you're experiencing some PROPER Cretan (Greek) lifestyle  🙄 whilst you enjoy your stay.
Tranquil.... yes....... quiet...?.no! Just total relaxation at a pace that suits 🙄

Nice place to stay

Everything is great! Very convenient location - far from the center of Plakias, so at night there is no noise. At the same time, to reach the beach with your hand is enough to cross the road and you are already on the beach. The hotel is cozy. We had a small room for two. There are no complaints about the room at all - everything is clean, neat, all the equipment in the room worked properly. The service is also at the height - in the room every day a full cleaning is done with the replacement of bedding and washing everything - very convenient.

It's hospitable and comfortable!

We have stayed at The Paligremnos on numerous occasions. Three times last year and twice, so far, this year.
The Apartments are well appointed and Georgia, her husband and staff are very attentive.
The Beach Bar is peaceful and just across the road from the apartments. The Taberna is excellent offering great cuisine and good wines; Also very tranquil and set in the gardens.
Tomas , our dog, is also made very welcome and there are nice walks close by the apartments in order to excercise him.

All In One

It is some ten years since we last visited Plakias and stayed at the Paligremnos Studios and the accommodation is still as good as ever, spotlessly clean, very efficient air con (included in room rate),  great enclosed shower cubicle and every facility you could wish for including complimentary toiletries, washing up liquid, tea towel, water and half bottle of wine in room on arrival, only downside was no room safe.

Our room no 22 on the second floor had a double bed and had a balcony (very hot in evening sun) which overlooked the beach, the balcony door has a mosi screen fitted so you can leave door open at night if you wish and listen to the sea.
Located  just across the road from the beach which is very clean with coarse sand a lovely wide bay with rising cliffs and good waves at the quieter end of Plakias and has a traditional family taverna attached with ample free parking. 

There is  a supermarket, Bakery, ATM etc. 1km away and there is now a beach bar offering drinks, snacks and beach sets at 5e and even a nudist section of the beach within 3 mins walk if you are into that (discovered by accident whilst taking a walk) !!!

Traditional Cretan Studios Still as good as ever

My wife and I have been traveling around the Greek islands for a long time, and we've seen dozens of beautiful places, but a place where absolutely everything we like would be present at the same time - perhaps for the first time. I want to say a big thank you to the owners of the hotel - Georgia and Janis for the hospitality that suits the reception of our loved ones! These are the kindest kind of people who will always find time to talk to you and make room with you so that you don't need anything and don't get your vacation darkened. They'll answer any questions, help the councils and try to fill your requests.
