Stayed 3 nights at the Mythos Apartments, our studio was a good size with a lounge/kitchen, we had a small oven/grill, fridge, coffee maker and hob. The pots and pans and kitchen items were in good condition. Bedroom was cosy and comfortable and a nice size  balcony over looking the lovely little grassed garden, lots of fruit trees around. Basic Bathroom but did the job, the apartment was very clean.  Only disappointment was we had hoped to dine at the Mythos Taverna but being late October it wasn't open :(  
The apartment is in the area of Damnoni  which was very pretty with some beautiful hidden cove beaches within walking distance along with 3 or 4 tavernas on the main beach front.  Only a few minutes by car to Plakias where there are many eateries to choose from.

Good short break

An very good place to eat , very fresh fish and very good service.The place is very good and cosy , very close to the beach . The kitchen is very good all is fresh.we have an very good experience and recommend it.

What else does one need for a perfect vacation?!

Great place for a great vacation!

Came for a two week stay with my girlfriend. This review will cover the staff, the room and the restaurant that is attached to it.

From the moment we arrived, we had the warmest, most genuine welcome we have ever experienced. Simply put, we were among friends, who actually and continuously cared about about our stay. Forget all the fake stuff, this family wants you to have as good a time as possible, and they take pride for it. For those among you who know what the Cretan hospitality means, this is it.

The rooms are exactly as shown. Spacious, new, and properly clean. The a/c can freeze the place in under 10 minutes, and there are screens on every window. The kitchen comes equipped with an electric kettle, an electric stove, oven/grill, and a coffee machine. The irony here is that we never used it, because of what comes next:

The Restaurant. We did our best to try everything on the menu, ranging from fresh fish, fresh vegetables, fresh meat, fresh everything. We did not find a single thing that was off. Please make yourself a favor and try the fish. Or the greek salad. Or the smoked ham. Or the stuffed vine leaves. Or.. I don't know, everything we tried was a blast.

Highly, highly recommend.

Quick service and a tasty Cretan dessert was a Surprise! 
The food is prepared within the hands of the mother of the owner and it tasted delicious! I would definetly recommend this Restaurant 👌

Excellent, quiet, clean and big rooms. Very friendly stuff and the owner one of the kind !!!!!Great location and nice clean beach. Very good restaurant behind with great raki and Cretan traditional food. 

Excellent and very clean

This is the fifth year in a row that our vacation selection was Mythos Apartments Damnoni Beach. We just keep coming back and are not disappointed.  Andreas and family welcome you and you become part of the family. How could you not return along with the delicious Cretan homecooked food and the beautiful not crowded beach nearby. The apartments are spacious and clean too. Make sure you reserve early. This popular place fills up fast!

Every visit is the best!

This is a block of ten large well appointed spotlessly clean studios five hundred yards from one of the best beaches I've ever been on. The studios and the taverna are genuinely family owned and run and it shows - nothing is too much trouble for the family and you'll be eating home cooked Cretan food (although from our experience of this area that is more common than in many other tourist destinations) honestly you'd be hard pushed to find a better sunshine holiday base. I'm unable to find anything to criticise

This is our third year back here to this very clean,friendly hotel with great restaurant with great food .
 We highly recommend to friends and family. Safe sandy beach.😎😎😎😎😎look forward to coming back next year
