Damage & Loss Policy

Dear Guest,

We kindly ask for your cooperation in maintaining the high quality and peaceful environment of our hotel. The following policy ensures comfort, safety, and fairness for all visitors and the protection of our facilities.

Guests are responsible for any damage, loss, or breakage caused intentionally or by negligence during their stay.

In case of damage or missing items, the cost of repair or replacement will be charged to the guest’s credit card on file or deducted from the cash deposit.

The hotel reserves the right to charge additional fees for special cleaning, smoking violations, or misuse of hotel property.

Guest Responsibility

Guests are held responsible for any damage, breakage, or loss caused during their stay, whether intentionally or by negligence — including damage caused by children, companions, or visitors under their care.

To ensure a smooth stay experience for all our guests and to cover potential incidental charges or damages, Nerea by the sea requires a valid credit card pre-authorization or, alternatively, a refundable cash deposit upon check-in. 

The amount held may vary depending on the room type and length of stay, typically ranging between €50 and €200 per stay. The pre-authorized amount is released automatically by your bank within 5–10 working days after check-out

In all cases, guests will be informed in writing, with an official damage report and cost breakdown.

Agreement

By completing the check-in process, guests acknowledge and accept this Pre-Authorization & Security Deposit Policy as part of the accommodation agreement with Nerea by the sea.
