The hotel's chief virtue is it's location, on the beach and immediately adjacent to the fort.

It is old and tired.  Our shower was broken.  The wifi only worked in the lobby.  There is no A/C.  The breeze was sufficient, but with no screens for 2 of the 3 windows, we were covered with mosquito bites after two nights there.

Our group of 20 were the only ones there.  Breakfast was OK, and there are good restaurant choices for dinner a short walk away.

Needs an update

This hotel is quite small and based right on the beach. It has the most amazing views.
The rooms and balconies are a good size and the food is very good. However, I think there could be some work to upgrade the rooms and bathrooms. Better showers and the replacement of unattractive plastic soap and shampoo containers on the walls would be good. More care over placement of bedroom furniture would be helpful. It was difficult/impossible to shut the door to our bedroom from the hallway. With a bit more care, this hotel could be as good as its views. Whatever, we will be back.

Sensational views

I should have known better, I know...but in Greece so far everywhere we have eaten we have had some great tasting experiences. Not this time...
The location of this hotel is breathtaking, it’s very convenient when coming out of the castle to grab a bite but don’t be lazy, take a couple of more steps and enjoy a proper taverna. You can stop by for a drink or enjoy the beach below but go eat somewhere else ;-)

Great panorama but below average food

Driving thru the Peloponnese we end up in Methoni, what a great pleasant surprise. The village is nice and has a beautiful and big ruin to visit. Wear good shoes and save a couple of hours to visit the Castle. The hotel is old, simple, good and has the best location. We had a room with a balcony and the view was unbelievable. They have lounge chairs at the beach just outside of the hotel. They are at the village square where you can find several nice restaurants. Highly recommend the city and the hotel. 

Nice, well located, very friendly 

We travelled to Methoni to visit the castle but found the hotel a lovely place for a cooling drink on a hot hot day and went back twice more and to use the beach. Less tourists more Greeks and better for it. A lovely spot and shallow warm waters and a superb view to boot.

Best hotel in Mykonos. Directly on a beautiful beach lines with an old venitan castle. Beautiful views of the sea from all rooms, clean rooms and showers, good variety for all included breakfast. Most friendly staff. Highly recommend 
Will be back next summer

Best hotel

A small hotel, right on a sandy beach, with a great terrace overlooking the beach and the castle and rooms, with impressively big balconies! THE place to relax, if you want to have everything at a walking distance, and if you like sleeping with the sound of the sea! Breakfast was really good, the staff was very friendly and helpful, but non of the hotel amenities can beat the view! The building seems to be from the 60s, but it is renovated and the outside walls are covered in stone. No lift unfortunately, which shouldn't be a problem if you are young and/or fit. Defenitively a place to go back to again and again.
