A Wonderful Stay at Pension Filitsa

On my way to Pylos without a place to stay, I found Pension Filitsa on Google Maps and decided to call. Despite not having a reservation, Petros kindly arranged a room for me and even provided directions nearest bus stop and saved me from longer walk.

The room was perfect—reasonably priced, impeccably clean, with fresh white sheets. Petros and Maria has designed the rooms in a charming and ergonomic way, complete with a well-equipped kitchen and all necessary cutlery.

During my holiday, I fell ill, and they took exceptional care of me. From the first day, as a solo traveller, I felt at home and safe. The location is ideal, yes it is close to main road so there is car noises but I have never felt annoyed during my stay,just a 5-minute walk to the center and a 7-minute walk to the beach, making it very convenient.Really lovely garden to enjoy a drink.

I left Pension Filitsa feeling extremely satisfied and happy. Their genuine care and passion for their work reminded me that there are still wonderful people in the world who do their jobs with heart, not just for money.

As Petros wisely said, “Measurement in life is BEAUTY.”

I highly recommend Pension Filitsa and look forward to returning.

A Wonderful Stay at Pension Filitsa

My girlfriend and i stayed in this lovely pension for 4 nights. Everything was very clean and the service was excellent. The price was also good for the area. The owner of the pension named Petros, gives a lot of information/advice on what to do in the area. We followed all his advices and we do not regret that at all! Overall we were very well treated by Petros. I highly recommend going here!

Best accommodation in Peloponese!

Unforgettable experience!!! Petros and Maria was a very friendly and hospitable couple. Very clean room and high quality of service. The pension provides you all the necessary things for a nice stay. Overall, experience was awesome!!! I will definitely recommend this place!! 

Nice place to visit 

Just minutes from the harbour and a range of excellent restaurants the rooms are calm and tasteful. The host is helpful and very welcoming
 We were stuck in a storm, with power cuts and fearsome gales but felt cosseted inside magnificent old house. Shared kitchen and garden area provide great opportunities to swap stories with other travelers. Recommend for couples and singles.
 

Lovely house beautifully renovated

The house is beautifully restored, and the rooms delightfully decorated. Our room, for 2, was comfortable with an excellent shower. We had breakfast in the patio garden, and drinks on the balcony with a view over the harbour. As noted by others, the traffic is close by and noisy (the road snakes around the house) but it is quiet at night, and (in any event) with the a/c on and the window closed, we could not hear even the passing morning traffic. We slept well each night. Pylos is a delightful little town. Finally, a mention for Petros the owner of the house. He and his wife were perfect hosts and demonstrated the best Greek hospitality. 

Rooms in a restored mansion

The hotel offers an experience of comfort, beauty and hospitality above all expectations.
Rooms are comfortable and spacious or comfortable and full of scenery. The negative thing is a bit of noise but that's the price you pay for a central location.
We arrived at the hotel just as the sun was setting and I and my wife wanted to see the sunset, our host said we couldn't see the sunset well from the beach and took us to the terrace of his house gave us a drink and a snack and from there we watched the sunset. After sunset, the host told us all we had to do in the city when and how.
We had so much fun that we added another night to our visit.

Excellent accommodation with amazing hosts

This is one of the most beautifully restored old Greek houses I have found. Dating from 1925 it has been lovingly refurbished by the artist and architect grandson of the original owner and his wife. They are gentle and considerate people who run it now as very reasonably priced pension  The rooms are simple but charming and there is a very pleasant small shared garden area with seating and tables and a communal kitchen which is very useful. 
It has stunning views of Navarino Bay from the seaward rooms but the rear ones are perhaps cooler in high summer. 
It is on a bend in the road which is noisy at times, particularly in the morning but we resolved this by walking the three minutes down to the harbour or beautiful town square and taking breakfast there. It is not noisy overnight and the garden is a lovely place to sitin the evening.
The cost is remarkably low, much less than half of anything at all comparable which makes it a good base from which to explore the castle, the gorgeous beaches around Gialova, Nestors Palace, the countryside around and of course the tavernas and cafes of attractive Pylos itself.

Horrible experience 
Owner is a stalker . He would turn air conditioning off when we weren’t there.!
Rooms way too small 
Would not really recommend to anyone . 
No fridge there’s a share fridge and you are only allowed to use 1 self 
Parking horrible and also the passing traffic was load . You couldn’t open your balcony doors because of the pollution from pass on traffic

Horrible experience

Neither a pension nor an apartment but close to a very low quality hostel. Three of the rooms are sharing the kitchen and the fridge (there is no fridge in these rooms!!). There was very small space between the bed and the walls and you could not move around easily. Additionally there was a terrible smell of humidity in the room. It was not sound proof at all (you could hear someone having a shower behind close doors!) Our room was sharing something like a yard with the room next door. In general there was not privacy at all. Moreover the owner is living right above the rooms in the first floor and he was checking constantly and we felt like he was stalking us. Finally there was no parking offered and we had to park our car in the city center so we had to walk a lot every day.
Terrible experience, I do not recommend it.
