The accommodation is owned by a lovey couple who are very friendly and helpful.
Room was basic but had everything we needed, bed was comfy. The studio had shutters so it was not light in there. Large balcony with furniture was a nice place to sit at any time.
Great pool, with large sun loungers reasonable prices at the pool bar.
Location about a 30 minute walk down to the main harbour front lots of places to eat. Taxi cost about 10 euros.
The owner kindly drove is to the port on the morning we left which was really appreciated.

excellent service and hospitality.  They have good food and drinks.  the pool is also very hygienic.  It is an experience you do not want to miss.  I liked the experience so much that I didn't want to leave.  you feel at home❤️😍

Echt leuk !!

We stayed here for 4 nights in June as part of our island hopping trip. Its a great little hotel, basic rooms but they have everything you need and were clean -  the beds were comfortable. Lovely pool/sunbeds and a snack bar which we used every day for breakfast. The location is great, it is about 25min walk into the port, if you want to get a taxi back after dinner then there is a rank by the port. We also walked to the old town a couple of times for dinner (about 15mins) to a local taverna which was lovely and much cheaper than the port restaurants.

Meni and Kostas were wonderful hosts, and we'd definitely stay here again.

Great hospitality

We stayed here for two weeks. Words cannot describe how lovely the family is that runs this place. Despite all the facilities being absolutely wonderful (very nice swimming pool, good sized studios with all the stuff that you need, brilliant location (near pythagorion, the airport and beaches), a lovely poolbar for all your needs), the family itself makes the place a little magical. If you need anything, want to know/do anything or have any question at all; ask it anytime! If they do not have the answer straight away, they will search it out for you. On our last day, the owner even dropped us off at the airport. That being already nice as it is, he even said that "he hoped that we had a lovely holiday", and i felt that one. I could feel that he really meant it. We will definitely come back to this place. Meni, Kostas and your son Anthonis; thank you again for the wonderful last two weeks! Stay safe and strong! :)

This place is amazing!

Lovely warm welcome by a very hospitable family. I stayed in a studio with a basic kitchenette and fridge to prepare my breakfast and other basic meals if desired.
Everything was tidy and proper. Spacious good working bathroom. Very enjoyable balcony to have my breakfast each morning. Pool area very nice with comfortable huge sunbeds with nice cushions. The family is always available to be of service. Their kindness makes you feel like a real guest. Two doors down a good supermarket. Got everything I needed in there. Even as a vegan it was great to get my vegan feta and cheese slices and Alpro plant milks there.  1.5 km walk is Potokaki beach. Daily I walked to Potokaki beach. Lovely. There is a nice restaurant called Almera . Had a few lunches and dinners there as they had vegan options too.  In the mornings I walked into Pythagoreion and enjoyed smoothies and snacks at Tropicanna the Health Bar right in the main street. I experienced all people on Samos as very very friendly and helpful.  Its a delight to have dinner in the evenings at the Pythagoreio Bay overlooking the sea.
I also walked to Chora one morning. Great walk to the old ancient capital of the middle ages. The arch bridge and little churches are interesting to have a look at.
An excellent holiday and lovely place to stay at.

Wonderful

Very nice family apartment, quite area,  at the 1st floor, nice pool bar and swimming pool. Convenient to reach any place. In addition, Mani and her family were very hospitable and kind, assisting us in any request. 

Great family studio

Anthis is family run, as you will have noticed after just reading a couple of other reviews. The family touch is what makes this such a special place to enjoy. Kostas runs much of the daily operations since his father died a few years ago. Meni, his wife, compliments the operations by keeping everything running smoothly and working together with Kostas. Their son, Anthony, works the pool area and bar starting in the afternoon until closing time, usually 2300-2400, or when everyone has gone to bed. Mama waters the plants and greets everyone when she is around the pool area.

It is near the airport but doesn’t actually pick up the noise from the takeoffs and landings. Generally no planes after dark so quieter yet.

It is around 2.4 kilometers, about 1.5 miles,to the waterfront in Pythagorio. This is where the best restaurants are located and there are many to chose from. There is free parking in Pythagoreio on the right just before the “Castle”. You are NOT allowed to drive down to the waterfront at night as the street is closed to traffic and is pedestrian only. Except for the first section along the Anthis and the residence next door it is a concrete walkway. Be aware that traffic drives very fast on Samos. There is taxi service based out of Pythagorio and the airport. It is usually five Euros one way between Anthis and Pythagorio. Stay alert when crossing the streets. Besides the small parking area at the Anthis, there is a vacant lot just to the right of the Anthis across the street that you may park at overnight. Crime is nearly nonexistent on Samos but be smart and do not leave anything in the car overnight.

There is a very well stocked supermarket about a five minute walk toward town. Prices are in line with any of the others around. The best prices will be found at the island Lidl, eleven kilometers on the way to Samostown. The bar area at the Anthis has a variety of light meals available plus snacks. Prices are very good for the quality and quantity of food. The BBQ nights are a must, really!

The pool is not heated so depending upon the season when you are visiting it can be “brisk” when getting in. Jump or dive in and on a hot day it feels good. It is deep at the one end so be aware. There are plenty of sun beds surrounding the pool area and some have sun umbrellas. Let Meni or Anthony show you how to open/close them the first time. There is a very nice sitting/eating area undercover along side the pool area.  The wi-fi is best near the pool. The pool towels are next to the bar.

There are a wide variety of rooms available. The ones in the back are quieter and in the shade all day. The ones along the pool area are mainly on the top floor so get hotter due to the sun. The ones on the other side receive the afternoon sun. There are only a couple of two bedroom apartments available. The best thing is to close the metal shutters for the windows/doors during the day and that helps keep the rooms cooler. You can pay a little more each day and enjoy the AC. We all have our own preferences and tolerances. We went to Lidl and bought a fan for €22 and it worked great for us.

All the rooms have basic features such as night stand, wardrobe, hot plate, sink, tv, mini refrigerator and utensils. The kitchens are for basic light meals such as eggs, cereal, yogurt
and cold drinks for the room. Food and drinks from other sources are not allowed in the pool area. We usually had a light breakfast in room, either something from the room or the bar area midday and walked into Pythagorio in the evenings for a nice meal at one of the restaurants. 

The rooms were kept clean and maintained. If you have a problem just let Kostas or Meni know and they will take care of it. They are cleaned and sheets changed every two days.
We kept recycling, glass or plastic bottles or aluminum, to the side of the waste basket.

The Anthis is not the most modern or fancy resort style place to stay on the island. It is however, a good basic place where you feel completely and comfortably welcome, all the time. Slowly they keep improving on what they have but it is a lot of hard work and expensive shipping to an island. The location means a walk into town but it was the only real exercise that we got when in Greece. If you rent a car to tour the island then you miss out on the nightly walk.😁



Great family resort

We travelled here again in June and was surprised to see TV's in the rooms as well as hairdryer, great addition, although we never switched the TV on, hairdryer was most welcome and will save on luggage weight next time we go. 
Also Pool towels are now available, another save on luggage, great idea.
We love this accommodation so much, lovely pool area with snack bar serving breakfast and snacks throughout the day as well as a lovely BBQ once a week and always a nice cold beer on tap, or a huge choice of lovely cocktails.  The owners Meni, Kostas and their son Adonis do a great job, always there to help and give advice, nothing is too much trouble for them. 
This accommodation is great for couples, singles and families, although a 20 minute walk to the beach, it's a nice walk and well worth a visit. 25 minute walk takes you to Pythogorion, with plenty of restaurants, bars and a pretty harbour.
A bus takes you into Samos town, approx 30 minutes journey.
Have already re-booked to go back in September, this place is 5* and 8* for friendlyness.

Nicely refurbished

Fantastic service, friendly people, quiet and beautiful site with good beds at the pool, simpel but cosy and clean room, bed in the room could be better. We will be back next year. In other word very good.

Super, very good

I love being here. The Anthis is so tranquil, in a beautiful setting in the countryside just on the outskirts of Pythagorio. It very much feels like a family home with Kostas and Meni looking after you. You just become part of their family. Very comfortable rooms that retain an Authentic Greek feel. Lovely big pool with comfy sun beds and shade if you want it. I always have breakfast cooked by Meni on the patio terrace with great coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice from their own trees. You can have lunch here too if you want.The studios are set in a convenient location to the beach, just a 10 minute stroll and to the harbour where the lovely restaurants are. Absolutely nothing touristy about this place. Wonderful people, you’ll meet lots of friends and enjoy this special island. It honestly is a home from home.
