Liked · Room was spacious and pleasant. Kitchenette was adequate, stunning views, the part-time staff was excellent, friendly and helpful

Disliked · Internet was not connected initially, and took two days to get connected in our 5 day stay.

Hot water service was only on turned for a few hours each day, based on when the owner assumed our shower time was. This was corrected on day two and then reversed on Day 4.

It was the beginning of the season and the swimming pool was not cleaned and useable.

The photos do not show the true ambience of the hotel.

Served our purpose a place to sleep and breakfast for a few days, would not recommend as a luxury stay

We stayed at a large apartment very spacious for us (a family consisting of 3 members). the view from our balcony was amazing! The sea, beaches of Turkey and the town of Pythagoreio. Breakfast was less than average lacking variety of products. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms didnt have something to avoid insects, yet we luckily didnt have any mosquitos during our stay there. The kitchen was adequate with a microwave oven as well. We parked our car just outside our room. Quiet place.

great view, poor facilities

We are at the present time at the Saint Catherine Hotel in Pythagore: structure quite far from the center is very isolated (road up the curve), partly still to be finished, large but empty rooms. The worst is the breakfast, not a buffet (although it is written on the front page and of which I add photos) and consists of: 1 steamed egg, 1 cold toast, 1 slice of butter and marmalade, 1 glass of artificial orange juice, coffee with a kind of artificial mini-pan also. Sometimes there is no hot water for the shower and there is no one to ask to intervene, sir.

Careful, not a three-star hotel.

We spent a week in this hotel in July. Our expectations of a 4 star hotel were not met. Although we had the best room from the viewpoint, unfortunately we had to live in several termites streets. We couldn't leave food open and even in bed these pets would occasionally come. Towels were lacking, room care was inadequate. Breakfast was ridiculous. Counted toast dishes and a cup of coffee or tea were served. But there were also positives. The staff were very friendly, the pool was beautiful and the view is phenomenal.

That could be better.

The hotel is very well located in the hills above Pythagorio, Very nice view and nice pool area. The apartments are spacious - however cleaning could be better, airconditioning is poor and wifi is weak.
Unfortunately, most of the hotel has never been fininshed and looks like a construction site. 
Worst thing is the service at the hotel - If you like "Fawlty Towers" you might find it amusing, but chances are you wont. 
When arriving to the hotel we couldn't get the apartment booked but was placed in a much smaller one, and it took two days to sort this mistaken. And when checking out we learned that no credit cards were accepted - even though it was clearly stated in the confirmation when booking. This resulted in a long drive to nearby gas station to settle the payment but only after much debating! 
Management of this hotel really needs to improve their act - certainly not worthy of four stars at the moment!

Nice view - bad service!!!

We stayed some days in this seemingly nice place stuck between goat farms in the hills 3 miles away from Phytagoron, but experienced chasing wasps, bad cleaning, no wi-fi, broken air-condition, great view if you like sunrise, but no sunset, the rate was negotiable if payed cash and the Bulgarian girls living and working 24/7 at the establishment was very friendly, as was the bartender in the pool bar with what little he could offer from his meager bar.  Safe to say never again.

Stay elsewhere maybe?

We stayed at the Santa Caterina Hotel for 2 weeks (June-July) the location of the hotel, for those who love tranquility, is excellent on a terrace overlooking the Pythagorean Bay, beautiful the pool, the apartment with entrance, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, very large.

Holidays 2014

The accommodations were perfect for our family. Our apartment had two bedrooms and a living room/kitchen. Everything was nice and clean and the owner and other workers were so friendly. The owner also owned a restaurant down by the sea which had wonderful food. They brought food up from the restaurant a few times so we could have room service. Since we didn't rent a car, getting back and forth took a little planning, but the owner shuttled us up and down the hill a few times (for just a small donation) or if he wasn't available, we called a taxi, so no big deal. The pool area was wonderful and the view was fabulous. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect for families, great view

I stayed with my family for a week in this newly built hotel that stands on the hills opposite the Samos Marina. The view is pleasant and during the abundant and excellent breakfasts you are caressed by the wind. The rooms are spacious and equipped with every comfort including air conditioning and flat screen TV. You can dine on the terrace in front of a beautiful sunset on the sea. It also has a large clean swimming pool where fresh drinks are always served from a small bar. The staff are kind and available to solve any kind of problem. You are really fine!

We were very good.

If you enjoy scenic walks or plan to rent a car or scooter on Samos (which you should anyway) this is a fantastic place. The rooms (really apartments) are huge and there's even a kitchen with an oven and all sorts of kitchen utilities. Most apartments have large balconys and the view is AMAZING! (Best in Samos).

The pool is really big and there's a gym. If you're into crossfit, the nearby hills provide an awesome workout.

Just ask the owner George if you need anything and he'll try to get it for you (like lobster :-). Maria who also works there takes great care of everyone and has a big heart! The authentic breakfast was a pleasure each day.
