Great! The host is very kind, very helpful i will definitelly stay here again. The hotel is close to the beach, the best beach in Santori. We stayed for one week, the breakfast is basic but enough, cleaning room is every three days. 

Value for money

I can't even call it a hotel cause it doesn't look like one. Our room was so dirty, there was so much dust on the floor, i don't even think anyone cleaned it before our arrival. But this is nothing compared to the horrible host. She was so rude that sometimes we were even scared to ask her something because she would start yelling or roll her eyes at us. Also the breakfast was a catastrophy. She buys some cheap stuff from the supermarket, puts it on a plate and that's your breakfast. Also the first morning we thought one plate was for one person, and me and my sister took two plates and the host started yelling at us in front of everyone What do you think you're doing, put it down!! Also while we were there she called some construction workers in 5 o'clock in the morning and we couldn't even sleep. I have the worst experience ever with this hotel and especially the host. I strongly don't recomend it to anyone!!

The worst hotel and host ever!!!

Clean and comfortable room, nice talk with the owner, and she gave us good informations for our stay in Santorini. Honest price and good breakfast. Very short walk to the beach. Quiet part of the island, we prefered to rent a car and stay a bit out of the very touristic villages.

Nice stay!

Memento Perissa is a lovely, clean and welcoming hotel, set in the countryside, two minutes walk from the beach to the south and two minutes walk to a supermarket, bakery and bus stop to the north. Slobodan and Tatjana are really great hosts, always very friendly and happy to help, but never intrusive or overbearing.

The hotel room we stayed in had a nice balcony overlooking the pool area, with mountain and sea views. We also had a small kitchen area with a hob and fridge freezer and sink, which came in handy for cooking our own food which we purchased from the nearby supermarket and bakery. Breakfast was also included, which was very tasty and was served by the pool area, which was very peaceful and relaxing and lovely and warm as it caught the morning sun.

Overall, this was a great value hotel in an excellent location. Highly recommended!

Lovely family run hotel!

When booking this hotel I did my homework in terms of reviews which were mostly positive. I came across a few bad ones which all mentioned the same point but didn't really think anything of it until it happened to me.

This hotel is notorious for double booking and ping ponging you between hotels. If you have a night flight be sure that you will not get your room at Memento Perissa and will be transferred to another hotel for the night (or even more depending on if they have double booked your whole stay).

As breakfast is included you are expected to make your way from the alternative hotel given to you back to Memento Perissa to have breakfast (served between 8am and 10am) and wait till somebody checks out(around 12pm) before you can get your room. Please note that these timings do not include the time it takes for the staff to clean your room.

The staff on the night were really nice so we didn't mind sleeping at the other hotel as it seemed they were trying their best to accommodate us. But this is just a regular way they do business,it seems from reading the reviews. As soon as we appeared to question the next day why we were waiting so long we were met with hostility by the host/manager. 

If you are looking for a hassle free trip I suggest you don't book this hotel as there are plenty of hotels on the island for a similar price. The rooms are not of a good quality and everything can be heard between walls.

We had to book an alternative hotel and obviously were not given a refund by Memento Perissa so this came at an extra cost.I am just glad I was able to find an alternative hotel at the last minute.

Also, avoid booking on lastminute.com as we booked through them and they were unable to assist us with the complaint and left us to make alternative arrangements on our own with no refund or willingness to help.

Memento Perissa is not a hotel worth booking, especially as there are better options in Santorini for the same price!

I want to warn anyone that is actually thinking to book the Memento Hotel in Santorini.
Once my self and my partner arrived at the Memento Hotel we parked our car and took everything with us for the check in. We saw this man at the bar in front of the pool and told him that we had a reservation, he confirmed and without any apologize said 'yes you are going to an other hotel close by for the first night because the couple before you extended for an extra day' as you can imagine our faces were quite shocked because we never received an email or a phone call from the Hotel telling us that we were going to be sent somewhere else, however because he couldn't really explain in English the situation...he called his wife that from her face and attitude we coud see how extremely bothered she was that had to come all the way down to talk to us. Once she arrived first thing she said was: YES YOU ARE GOING THERE NOW! THERE IS NO PLACE HERE IS ONLY FOR ONE NIGHT AND IS NOT A PROBLEM!!!
We tried to talk like normal human beings to her but she didn't let us speak and then she said: 'YOU DON'T WANT TO GO THERE? OK SLEEP BY THE POOL!!!! OR TAKE YOUR MONEY BACK AND GO!!!' how rude is that? And how can you speak like this to someone that just came to your hotel for the first time? However she didn't even let Bookings.com know about the situation so please just make sure to call any of the website you booked in with because otherwise people like her will turn your holiday in to HELL TOO! BUT FIRST OF ALL DON'T BOOK WITH MEMENTO HOTEL BECAUSE THEY ARE EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Anyone could make mistakes but there is so many ways to talk to people!!!!

STAY AWAY!!

A very friendly and certain host of staff, the room was very nice with balcony and air conditioning, although the room was not equipped with a TV monitor. Breakfast was quite nicely  served next the pool side and so was the reception. Overall I would recommend tourists to stay here due to the underrated service with the price.

Excellent hospitality and cleanliness and especially staff

We want to stay at santorini near Beach and its a nice small hotel run by a family. Small nice swimming pool is also there. the studio apartment having cooking facility if you want to cook. Rooms are big neat and clean having basic amenities including Ac. Good complimentary breakfast. but doesn't have any restaurant. for lunch and Dinner you have to go outside restaurants which are nearby in the Beach front.. The black Perissa beach is very close to the hotel where you can have sun bath and bathing in the sea.

Calm and quiet nice Small hotel

If you want basic and a place to stop for a night or two and don't mind sharing a room that needs an overall and stinks that this is for you !!! 
We arrived to find we were sharing a room with our teenagers in a room that is in desperate need of decorating , had furniture that was in need of ripping out , bed as hard as anything , sharing a room with a very noisy fridge next to the bed and a bathroom that you cant swing a cat in with a shower that is just a trickle and drains that would turn your stomach  and to top it all off a pool that was empty !!

Dire

We have had an excellent stay at the Momento. A family run small hotel,  the rooms are clean and basic, no tv, but that is a good thing with the kids having a screen downtime!.... but there is a good wifi.
Slobodan and Tatyana were great hosts and  were a fountain of knowledge. When our daughter needed some medication they took us to the pharmacy. 
The hotel is just a few minutes from the beach and a great bakery.
Breakfast was continental and tasty. The swimming pool ideal for the family.
Perissa was an ideal location for us, is quieter, has one of the best beaches of Santorini and the water park though small was a hit with the children.
