A nice accomodation close to the beach and the village of Perissa. The host was most helpful to recommend hikes and things to do..The room was simple, but very clean and just what we wanted. I would stay there again!

A nice place to stay

Onar room and studio is not a luxurious hotel but it doesn’t have to ! The room is very local/traditional one , authentic, super clean and this is the right way to connect with the authenticity of Santorini! The bath room is a bit small but it was not an issue at all! The air conditioner works super fine ! Small fridge available, hair dryer upon request, (important only plug sockets 2 pins available ) , room cleaning daily. Don’t drink  the tap water as it’s super salty and not drinkable anyway , instead buy a pack of water. The hotel is sold on room only but it’s ok. Most importantly the hotel is  geographically well situated in Perissa, very close to the black beach, lots of restaurants, pharmacy, quad/ car rental, super markets, local travel tours … name it ! There is a supermarket 6-7 minutes by walk,  which opens at 6h and you can buy your coffee/hot chocolate and croissants! What made the stay also special is the warm welcoming  of Georgios the owner. A nice and humble guy always available and will always make his utmost to help and find a solution for you, if needs be. He was not intrusive at all, he gives you your privacy and let you enjoy your stay while being fully available for his guests ! It was a bit windy during September, but I will certainly go back there again.  A big thank you again to  Georgios and his mother. There are lovely and made us feel comfortable!

We stayed here for a week and were really happy with our stay. The room had good air-conditioning, it was spacious and clean. George was very helpful with suggestions and information for getting around the island. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the bus stop, the beach and lots of eateries whilst still maintaining a calm and quiet atmosphere. We would love to return!

Great location

It was a pleasant stay for the whole week I stayed at Onar Rooms. Upon arrival George was very helping with information and borrowing me some utensils to make food. He was calm and friendly at all times and so was his mom who helps running the accomodation. 

The deluxe room was good, spacious, clean and new. Every day it was cleaned inside, new towels given etc. Airconditioning, mattress and internet were all fine.

The location is very good, at the end of the main street of Perissa, near a beautiful mountain but still just  a 2 min. walk into the main town. I recommend this place if you look for a good, peaceful and quiet stay!

Pleasant and relaxed stay

If you are looking for a place away from loud and crowded cities on Santorini's caldera and you do not want to pay a lot for accommodation then you will be satisfied.

We spent a wonderful week in Onar. Room decorated simply, comfortable bed, very clean - room cleaned daily. Bathroom small but not a problem. There was a fridge in the room, we also had a hairdryer and a kettle at our request. The air conditioning worked perfectly. Owner helpful, polite and cordial.

Onar is located a few steps from the beautiful black beach and promenade with a whole bunch of delicious restaurants, shops and car and quad rental.

Santorini is wonderful! Perissa is a much quieter place than the caldera's cities, but perfect for a break after a day of sightseeing. And Onar is a very peaceful and quiet place, it has a pleasant view after leaving the room. Close to the bus stop from which you will get to Fira, close to the Ancient Thera trail.

I recommend 100%. We would love to go back there. <3



Love it!

I stayed here for a week while visiting Santorini. It is in a perfect location right beside a beautiful mountain which you can walk to the Ancient City if you are feeling adventurous and only a stone throw from the lovely beach area. 

I stayed here with my sister we had a lovely time. It was always good to know that after a day or evening out we could come back here to the peace and quiet and get a good nights sleep.

The family are lovely and very helpful. Someone waited up for us to arrive on our first night as we were very late getting in and there was always someone around or you just had to call if your needed something. 

This will be where I will be staying again next time :)

Family Run Paradise :)

Beach is less than 100m outside the hotel. We enjoy having breakfast in the front yard with the sea and volcano view every morning. It’s also very close to the volcano hiking route. Looking at perissa from the volcano is mesmerizing.
