I stayed here for 3 nights with photo buddies.
The accommodation was clean, very comfortable and room had a double bed and was roomy. I was a single occupant.
As this was a bird photography trip so we were out very early before sun rise and back well after sun set and dinner.
So the brunch provided mid morning was an important meal.  Mikos and his team provided a very healthy brunch with Greek yogurt and toppings, meats/cheese, fruits, breads with spreads, cereal, eggs(cooked differently each day) and sweet pastries.  The meal was plentiful and tasty.
The beds restful and the balcony very welcoming in the middle of the day.
Mikos joined us to check if we’d had good photo session and helped with arrangement if we wanted something different.

Pelican Photography Workshop

The hotel is super local, no other hotel in the immediate region.

The building is well equiped and the rooms are spacious and have all the necessary items. Wifi connection is pretty ok, especailly for such a remote town.

Breakfast is good, they have some bread, cereals, fresh mades ham and cheese toast, eggs, local spniach pie or sweet cream pie, fruit, nuts, freshly baked cake... Really nice.
There is a coffee machine (with beans) and you can also get tea, juices, hot chocolate.

The rooms are old fashioned but ok. The bathroom is ok, maybe 1 item is that the shower space is pretty small and only has a shower curtain.

Heating and/or arco is working very well.

At the opposite of the street there is the local supermarket where you can also get everything you want and at the other side a very nice pastry shop. Don't expect much more in the village.

We loved it and it was a good place to stay a couple of days.

Small relaxed local hotel with nice breakfast

Nikos was very responsive and accommodating in organising our trip. Heclearly has a passion for his home and as a keen photographer himself, very knowledgeable. A very serine trip. Best of all Nikos pinged us map locations to stop at while circumnavigating the lake. This became one of those unforgettable days with a trip to the monastery and seeing the water buffalo wallowing not 10m from us. Nikos puts in that extra 20% above the norm. 

Private boat trip 

The lake kerkini area is absolutely marvellous for anyone interested in natural history, and the Limneo Hotel on the eastern side of the lake is probably the best place to stay. It's not large, it's very unpretentious and doesn't have a restaurant, but the rooms are fine and the atmosphere couldn't be more welcoming. Nikos takes boat trips out on the lake (memorable and wonderful), and also gives a lot of helpful advice for birdwatchers. 

Unpretentious family-run hotel in superb wildlife area

I went there as a member of a group that had photos of the Pelicans as planned. We stayed at Limneo Hotel and experienced a great hotel and were accommodated in a really nice room. Breakfast was really good and the staff friendly.

Nice local hotel

Limneo hotel is comfortable, good sized rooms, clean, staff are lovely, and the breakfast is very nice indeed. Nikos, the owner, is very hands-on and makes sure you are well looked after. It's excellent value for money and parking is convenient. If you are up here to visit Lake Kerkini, Nikos is an excellent contact to arrange trips, tell you where to go, etc. Recommended.

Dear Nikos, thank you very much for our wonderful stay at your place. We will always remember great boat trips where we ended up with beautiful photos of pelicans. It wouldn't be possible without you. We loved the way you support local people und respect the mother Earth. The surrandings are great espacially for birdwatching.
We also liked breakfast with plenty of Greek specialities. The vegan chocolate cake made by Christina is a must.

Excellent stay for birdwatching

Excellent hotel. We enjoyed very much our stay. Warm and affectionate owner and staff. Rooms are spacious and clean. All facilities were in great condition. We also appreciated the owner’s commitment to the wellbeing of the guests.

I recently stayed at Limneo Hotel to see and photograph the Dalmatian pelicans in their breeding plumage.  The hotel is comfortable, clean, warm - a lovely, lovely place. Guide and hotel owner Nicholaos is the perfect guide; I can't say enough good things about the experience.
