Nice view, beautiful beach and a blue sea. You can eat near the sea. the food is very good (Pork Chop) and the appartments are very good, clean and own badroom. The airco is working good. Nice people. We go back again

Very nice family, very clean rooms and great service. Breakfast and dinner were perfect. The location of the tavern is right by the sea and very idyllic. The rooms are super spacious and air conditioned. Next time again!

Perfect accommodation!

We already knew the place, having been there 3 years ago but alas things are not improved, sure they are worse, warm welcoming in a hot afternoon, downside was that the room was occupied by another couple! The man at desk, waiter, multitasking young could have been working well in a Charlot movie not in an hotel or restaurant, the owner was rude and unpolite, treated very badly the young and insisted we ordered for dinner the priciest food, saying other dishes were "sold out" at 9 p. m.! There was a lack of electricity in the morning so we couldn't use the bathroom and in the meanwhile the staff sit chatting, smoking and sipping cold coffee, end of the story I'd better give 0 stars, avoid it definitively

Talking about flioxenia

It's actually called Hotel Flisvos, but according to other reviews it's the same accommodation. Great location with a beautiful sandy beach nearby, yet few tourists, perfect for a quiet, relaxed holiday. Good restaurant, although a little expensive for the area. Beautiful rooms at a really affordable price. A few minutes' walk is the wonderful sandy beach of Frangokastelo, right under the ruins of a Venetian castle. Bed with shade costs 5 € a day. Mini supermarket is right at the entrance of the main street. Had a large roof terrace with sunscreen (heavy sea!) overlooking the mountains. TVs are on hand, but nothing goes out here.

Quiet Hotel With a Beautiful Beach

The staff is nice, the manager is rather rusty which is not very reassuring from the arrival! The room is very nice, nice folding of towels, well equipped (clim, mini-frigo...); but the burnt traces on the sockets are not reassuring, the door to the terrace closed very badly, and the bathroom vmc was very noisy. We feared that we would have noise from being on top of the restaurant, but no, it was rather quickly quiet after the dinner service.

It's a cozy place by the sea, the rooms are modern and comfortable, and we loved the restaurant where the dishes are served generously, and above all the kindness and courtesy of Salem the waiter.

A great haven of peace south of the ridge.

An ideal destination for those who want easy access to the beach, great views and non-pretentious accommodation. There is plenty of parking and a big restaurant right on the beach for your meals. We didn't try the food there, however it looked like a family restaurant that we would have noemally chosen if we were hungry. The room itself was quite good, with a nice balcony overlooking the ocean and the bathroom was recently renovated which was nice! No complaints for a budget stay! 

Ideal location, recently renovated rooms

We stayed one night in a studio in the residential building located a short drive from the tavern (which also has rooms) of the same owner and name. We were delighted with the following points: welcome with a coffee offered by the boss, the kindness of the staff, obsolete studios that would benefit from a refreshment on the furniture side, but clean and nice, located in a small family residence of several apartments (without reception on site, it is at some tavern-hotel) which has its own private pool and clean), something quite rare in this area, with beautiful views of the mountains, whose asset is a 50m from the beach that is accompanied by a small path.

Flisvos fits in perfectly in Frangokastello.  That is, if you like the south coast of Crete, in particular the Sfakia region, then you will love Flisvos.  However if you expect your holiday destination to be polished and have all of the conveniences of modern life near by, you'd better look elsewhere.  

It has been run by Spiros and his family for the last few decades and is located next to the small harbour.  The rooms are simple yet clean and well maintained.  A/C is installed in the rooms if you want to use it, there is wifi supplied in the taverna also.  The food is excellent, with simple dishes using local produce.  The fresh fish is particularly good, as are the Meze.

If you are looking for a trip to get away from the mad rush of modern life, to chill out in a place with stunning ocean views whilst enjoying excellent food and drink, then this might well be the place for you.

A great location to get away and relax

If you are looking to get away from the hectic pace of life, then Flisvos in Frangokastello will exceed your highest expectations. I have just stayed for four nights on my third visit and can not recommend it enough, I will be back. The rooms are very clean, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful (and speak excellent English), the food is delicious with plenty of different dishes to choose from and it is all fantastic value for money.

It is in the south west of Crete and the area is stunningly beautiful, and totally unspoilt. It is right beside the sea, with mountains behind you and there are plenty of gorgeous beaches within walking distance. If you want to get away and unwind, you won't find anywhere better.
