We stayed here at the beginning of January as part of a photography group trip. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, really warm and welcoming. We had a front facing room and the view from our balcony was over the lake Kerkini. 
Downstairs is a breakfast room and there's a lovely lounge with open fire to sit by in the evening.  Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. 
I was unwell during the trip and the hotel owner came up to check on me during the day to make sure I was alright. This was really lovely and thoughtful thing to do. 
Yes, we would stay again, yes stay here it is great.

A Wonderful Stay

The hotel Villa Belles  is far from anywhere,  surrounded by the countryside landscape of Akritochori with a magnificent view of Lake Kerkini, which is about 1 km away.  Rooms are nice and spacious.  Traditional style accommodation with modern facilities and a friendly staff.  Buffet breakfast was plentiful and you could eat on the outside verandah overlooking the lake.  Plenty of parking space.  It is 49 km from Serres and Bulgaria is about 25 kms.

A nice getaway

I loved to stay in the hotel, Anastasia and Despina did all they could to make my long stay comfortable. The owners Kostas and Tula are such great people, all my respect for when they had to get up to let me in or invited me to have dinner with them. Even the hoteldog became my friend.
I will not think twice when I need to be in the area to find a hotel. My stay was great. Thank you all!!

Great hotel with beautiful view on the lake. I had to stay in the hotel for 5 weeks and the staff is great. 

A place for tranquility, friendly helpful owners, Kostas and Tula, English speaking staff Natasha... Local produce and homemade food.. A great stay... To wake up each day and watch the lake come to life whilst eating breakfast.. So peaceful 

VILLA Belles Hotel 

Very good overnight stay while driving between Athens and Bucharest. Villa is Pet Friendly therefore a lot a small pets around. As bonus, you may visit the area by horse back riding. Overall, clean facility, friendly hosts and nice place in the middle of nature. As minus: room air conditioning needs refit.

This hotel is the best choice for all area. Has amazing view/setting on the Belles mountain just outside of Akritochori. Is a great base to visit Kerkini lake, Monastery, Poroia, Roupel, or Agkisto. Very relaxing place, with good food and breakfast, very friendly staff and good prices. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and offer a beautiful view of the lake.

Stunning View and Great Location to visit all area

The location is a bit off everything unless you’re a birdwatcher. The room is comfortable, staff is appropriate and breakfast is good. The hotel is actually way smaller than it looks like from the photos.

Countryside peace

The hotel is placed in a wild place near lake Kerkini where you can see a lot of birds: dalmation pelicans, common pelicans, little and great egret, and many other birds. The staff of the hotel is helpful and friendly.

It was nice

The hotel is used to catering for both individual travellers and tour groups, providing the latter with set meals and packed lunches. If you eat in it may be best to anticipate substantial portions! Rooms at the front of the main house have balconies and views towards Lake Kerkini.  Air conditioned (heated in winter), clean and practical if not elegant.  The double-glazed balcony doors have fly screens, and there are two chairs and a table on each balcony.  Ample parking in front of the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is close to the Bulgarian border, lots of walks, boat trips on the lakes, mountain scenery and skiing in winter. The area is excellent for birds and butterflies. Roughly 1.5 – 2 h drive from Thessaloniki Airport.

Lovely views acrosss to Lake Kerkini and efficient a/c

Just 1 km from the village of Akritochori is Villa Belles Hotel. It is well managed by the family owners who maintain a very high standard throughout the building. All rooms have a view of Lake Kerkini and with a backdrop of mountains on the Bulgarian border it is an idyllic location. We stayed for 9 nights in early May and enjoyed some sunny weather with cool nights. Lake Kerkini is an excellent location for bird watching and the nearby mountains are an added bonus. We booked a room and breakfast but it is possible to pre-book for an evening meal at the hotel. There are three tavernas in the village offering a variety of local food of good quality and reasonable prices. We would highly recommend a stay at Villa Belles Hotel - we will definitely make a return visit.
