if your lucky to have a room with view then its strongly recommended!
very friendly stuff and very good position at the ring road of skopelos town. 
if your are not looking for luxury it's perfect.......


the definition of value for money

Very nice views. Many things missing from the room, like closet, hairdryer etc. we booked for another room by call with a view as we saw and expected but in the end we been to another room but anyway. The studio is very high so you have to walk in small streets which you can get lost totally, very easily! We we were searching for it like 40 minutes in the way back going around and around without an ending! No breakfast included. I can say was okay. 

This was our second visit to Kastro studios, stayed there in 2013 (see previous review). We weren't disappointed. Same warm welcome as before and apartment kept spotless on a daily basis. Wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else on Skopelos.

Stunning views and lovely people

We visited Kastro Studios during the busiest time of the year, mid-August and got a really good price for our room. Kastro Studios is located high on Skopelos town which is laid out on a couple of hills over the port. It is reachable either on foot via a fairly steep 10-15 min climb on the picturesque winding alleys and steps of the town, or via car. We had a car, so that was not an issue, and I believe Georgia, the nice owner of Kastro will offer to help with your luggage when arriving or departing. The location offers really nice views for the rooms that do have sea view.

We were offered a room with sea view however the small balcony was overlooking a common yard so it didn't feel private enough to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. A couple of other rooms, on a different floor were better for enjoying the view. The studio itself, bar the tiny balcony, was fairly spacious, with a kitchen area and a room that fit both a double as well as a single bed comfortably. However the whole room felt dated. I'd expect to find the exact same setting in the early nineties. The appliances (fridge & stove) were old, the fridge specifically was quite noisy, and the furniture fairly well maintained but old. The shower had a broken ceramic soap holder which wasn't something major, but indicative. It was equipped with a TV and air conditioning. The rooms were cleaned frequently and the bed sheets/towels were changed often as well. 

All in all we had a fairly good experience, but the rooms were definitely average, so we'd only recommend this to travellers with a budget.

high uo overlooking skopelos town.Greek rooms with balconies & exceptional views over the sea .Friendly accomadation & spacious rooms.Pretty gardens & walks down cobbled streets into the town.Will return next year.

First experience of Kastro Studio was fantastic! Moments after booking online, I received an email asking what time I was to arrive at the port in Skopelos as they would be there to pick me up....Sure enough when I arrived I was greeted by their lovely friendly staff in a blue car. The studio room was large, clean and bright with comfortable beds and a large balcony. Excellent kitchen facilities including all crockery/cutlery/pans you would need. Owner Georgia was so kind and generous, even giving me a taste of her home made Baklava!
Fantastic value for money in a great location overlooking the whole of Skopelos :-)
