We absolutely love staying at Viena! Eleni is a fantastic host and her breakfasts & light lunches are just perfect, fresh local produce prepared by expert hands! 
The rooms are spotless and nicely decorated and the top floor rooms have a beautiful sea view (which is just a stones throw away).
But I think my favourite thing, definitely has to be the enormous swimming pool and beautifully manicured gardens :-)

The best place to stay on the South coast!

We stayed for one week in September 2022. Our room was sufficient for a short stay for a couple. For a longer stay the larger apartments would be more suitable.

We especially enjoyed the lovely large clean swimming pool in spacious well kept gardens, offering a sea view and quality sun loungers with parasols or shaded by trees.

Each morning we had a wonderful fresh breakfast at the poolside buffet, also available for snacks and refreshments during the day.

Viena is well positioned with nearby beaches and tavernas a short drive away, or 5 minutes to all the amenities of Paleochora. We particularly liked Krios beach, comparatively quiet and the sea is so clear and warm, with a cafe/bar on hand for drinks or snacks.

Staff at Viena were always welcoming and helpful.

Peaceful

Just the ticket for a quite retreat.  Rooms and apartments are clean and tastefully decorated by our hostess Helene.  Breakfast is excellent with a good choice of hot and cold on the buffet. 
Friendly hostess who goes out of her way to help.  Maria helps with the breakfast, rooms and is also very kind and friendly.

Definitely need a car.

Paradise in Paleochora

We stayed at Viena Rooms & Apartments for 6 nights and tried out all the facilities. The place itself is a haven of peace, kept and cared for like a jewel. 
What makes it really special is above all the service: the manager Eleni is of a willingness and a sweetness very rare to find. She is always there to assist and give advice. Thanks to her, our exploration of the region was much more complete.
We unreservedly recommend Viena Rooms to anyone who wants to spend a peaceful and unforgettable holiday in Crete.
P.S. Breakfast is excellent, in quality and quantity of food!

Unforgettable Stay at Viena Rooms & Apartments

This was such a lovely, quiet place with a nice pool and great views. A silly, long-standing feud with the neighbouring hotel meant that the shared pool and restaurant area suddenly got cut off, a nasty wall erected and views and ambience significantly damaged. Only in Crete!

Such a shame as this was a great place to go, but I really couldn't go to either of them now.

This is a wonderful place to be with your family. The breakfast buffet is super delicious (eggs, fruits, Juice, cake, olives...). The appartments (located in between olive trees) are clean and nice (If you want to cook it's a bit small). There are very nice beaches and restaurants just a few minutes away (by car). We also loved the Pool, which is huge and clean. It is also a good place to take day trips e.g. Elafonisi, Samaria,...
All in all we highly recommend this place to everyone looking for relaxed holidays. Thanks a lot to our host for this great stay.

Great place

Rooms in a big beautiful garden. It has a nice swimmingpool and a seaview. The rooms are rather small but have a terrace overlooking garden and sea. The breakfast is wonderful. Very friendly owner. Only a few km from paleochora, a lively town 

Haven of peace

My wife and I were looking for ten days in a warm location, quiet but not too far from good restaurants, within an area worth exploring. We found this and more, at Viena Rooms in Kountoura. We loved the fact that this haven is family run and Eleni was ever-present, welcoming, helpful and informative. The room that we had was very comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space, cleaned and checked every day. The garden area around the rooms is conducive to relaxation - we alternated with one day at Viena, one day exploring. We opted for B&B and the choice and quality of breakfast items were perfect. If we have the opportunity to return then we will.
