Magnificent, well preserved traditional villa, with subtle yet unique elements from another time. Full comforts for a small and a large family, amazing owners.
Near the foot of the mountain and literally yards away from a rare and priceless traditional village square (plateia), with centuries-old huge platania trees and scrumptious meals in any of three traditional tavernas.

Exquisite stay in rural Sparta

Just 10min from Sparta this place is situated in a village with amazing nature and sights. 

First impression when entering is how big it really is. Full equipped kitchen. Large living room with TV, sofas, great decoration, even small things like a chess board. It resembles a real house, and not a rental. You get relaxed immediately. And then young get upstairs. Two bathrooms, three bedrooms. All large and comfortable. Everything is clean and neat. And very important, we arrived in a hot day of June. The house is so cool inside, without having to use ac. Trees around, a cool breeze in the night all help to create the perfect temperature even in Greek summer.
Really enjoyed the stay. And owners are very polite and helpful. 

What a place

The house has everything you can possibly need. It is very spacious and clean. We only stayed for 2 nights to visit Mystras. We almost lost our stuff because the house was so big, we couldn’t find our stuff anymore ;) There are three restaurants nearby the house so you don’t have to travel around to have some dinner. There is a sign next to the road so you know where the house is located. 

Everything you need

My husband and I stayed here for two weeks. It is a lovely villa in a quiet location on the edge of a village, despite being surrounded by three tavernas which serve traditional Greek food. Georgia, Despina and Maria, our hosts for the villa, are lovely people who could not be more helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. The villa is very comfortable with air conditioning in all three bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped although we used the tavernas almost every night! Breakfast items were provided and also delicious homemade cakes, courtesy of Maria (Despina and Georgia's Mum). Linen and towels were changed every three or four days. Everything was very clean and homely. We did a little sunbathing in the garden but really it was too hot during our stay. We loved this holiday and would not hesitate to recommend this villa as an ideal base for exploring beyond Sparta and Mystras. The new motorway link has provided a quick and easy drive to the airport at Kalamata (just under one hour) and means that lots of sightseeing can be done in day trips e.g. Monemvasia, the Mani peninsula, ancient Messine etc. 

Great base for touring the Peloponnese

Very cosy house with ample space and really everything you need, including a chess desk or a piano keyboard. 3 taverns in the neihtborhood, can be a bit noisy at night. Very nice landlord, home made cakes and a bottle of excellent wine upon arrival. Breakfast we had in the garden. Free wifi
