Very nice room,  perfect shower, friendly helpful owner. There is a nice possibility to sit outside . Parking area.  Coffe and tea, plates, glases in the room. We get maps from the owner for hiking.We will stay there again!

Friendly hostess

We were a group of 10 visitors, with 4 children. We all paid and at the entrance but they asked their ID to our 2 children who are black. Why ? They said they wanted to check that they were really French. 
It was obvious that the children were with us, and it was obvious that the women at the entrance wanted to humiliate our children. Why asking Black children to show their ID and not White children?
Is that a warm way to welcome European visitors?

Beautiful place, beautiful sight but awful people.

We spent just one night in this structure but all was excellent: the room is ok for 4 people, with tv, air conditioning and a little fridge. There is the parking for the car and the lady that welcomes you is very friendly. She also offered us beer and orange juice when we were back from the castle visit! It was a nice surprise. On top internet works very well. So nothing to say, very good location to stay.

Nice location 50 m from the main square. Lots of good family restaurants nearby. Lovely and friendly owners.
Air conditioning in the room, nice and quiet. Very good to have a fridge in the room! Quick free wi fi.

Great accommodation!

As a person of Greek extraction, I found this place to be hauntingly familiar because of the stories my family would share over the years.  The restorations are faithful and are well curated but the view of the Sea was what truly made me feel the passion of Greece.

Beauty in the ruins and the scenery

The hotel is right in the centre and has off road parking but we still needed the owner to come on to the street and wave to us

The room had two double beds with a view of the historical site and the shower was okay 

There was a garden with three tables where we had a picnic in the evening and played board games which was nice

So all in all perfect for our needs

It cost 54 with tourist tax

Good location and view

I didn't realize how big is this Castletown until I hike from the foot to the top of the mountain! There are several monuments like the Palace, the monastery, the museum, a lot of stone houses and the fortress on the top. All connected with stone streets and a sense of the old byzantine empire. The views from the top of the castle is amazing! After the hike I went to the new town of Mystra’s (small square with spring water coming through a huge plane tree) and had some delicious roasted pork (they call it Bouzopoula). There are a lot of nice hotels in this area from luxury castle type to a beautifully camping! I stayed to Byzantio hotel (best value, with real delicious breakfast and a swimming pool surrounded with olive trees and grass)
