Breathtaking views. Good arrangement and stylish renovation of the really old castle like building. The staff does its best for the basic breakfast and to provide for the super cleanliness of the place. Maria helpful with tips for visiting the area.Enjoyed the stay!!

The views. The history. The tidy/ clean place

Excellent choice for staying. Kokkala is a quite village and very good base to explore Lakoniki Mani.
The hotel is a small hill where you can see the whoel village as well the sunrise. Very quite, clean and cosy. Very good breakfast and gentle service.

A peacefully staying in wild land of Mani

Smily and friendly service..Small and bad reserved room with not well preserved furniture.. The worst was the awful smell and the lack of insects protection.. The photos are true but well shoot so we all expected better situation.. The price too high for this quality especially for a rent rooms/hotel situated in a so unpopular and bland village

Nice view but not good value for money

Amazing views on the East, great for watching the sunrise. The room was very clean and modern, comfortable bed and excellent balcony with sea view. The breakfast was good and the restaurant also offers a terrace with sea view. Overall a great accommodation on the area.

 * sheets and towels changed daily
 * the only minus or perhaps even a plus :)....is the weak wifi

We really enjoyed this location, our plan is to come back again next year.

Super location!

We have stayed in this hotel for 1 night, fortunately. 
We had a really serious problem with mosquitos, my kids have been badly bited, they had about 100 bites each (seriously - no joking). I have been up until 3 am, trying to kill as much mosquitos as I could, but this did not save my kids from a terrible night. 
Fortunately they are not allergic, because otherwise we would have had to go to the hospital. 
Consider that they also has a repellent, but the room was FULL... and we always kept the light off with closed doors. 
We have tried to turn on the air conditioning, but it wasn't not working. 
The room was not equipped with any kind of mosquito repellent.
I believe there is a very serious  problem with that room, but owners say that is normal.
I have travelled all over the workd and honestly never had this kind of experience. 

The place itself, have very nice views, but is very poor in terms of rooms interiors. 
The village of Kokkala, is a village of ghosts, not well kept, not even a restaurant, only 1 supermarket, almost empty with lights off. 

Breakfast was very poor , they did not even had tea. Only some bread with jam, and some feta.

The Mani peninsula, is beautiful, and we have stayed in beautiful places, this was the worst. I would not recommend to stay at The Castle.

Serious mosquitos problem

This hotel was great. The girl at the reception was very nice and the room  so good. From the balcony of your room you could see the sea. The breakfast was also good even if it was a bit poor but the food excellent.

kindness

The place and the view is amazing. Extremly view to the sea, totally quite, cleanness rooms, very cozy decoration. Staff are very friendly and kindness and try to help and inform you for everything. Of course you need a car to get around to the beaches but i think you need anyway in Laconia area. 
I can recommend this place for someone wants to visit the area. 
The only bad situation is the internet. Wifi works only in reception area and reception close at 21:00 ! Maybe they can fix this in future.
