We decided to visit Spetses for a night during our three month stay in Greece. Why, oh, why did we only book one night at Villa Christina? It was a pure delight. I had booked directly  via the website and it was so easy! 

We arrived at the port in Spetses and walked the 200m or so up from the port. When we arrived, it was only around 11 am and not surprisingly our room was not ready but we were welcomed by our host Angela, a lovely lady. So friendly and helpful. The kind of person who immediately makes you feel at home.

She advised us to leave our bags, go and have a beer or cold drink and return in 30 minutes when our room would be ready. Sure enough, 30 minutes later, we were shown to our ground floor room, overlooking the shaded courtyard. 

The room was lovely and cool and a welcome respite from the heatwave coursing through Greece. Not only did we have a brilliant aircon unit but also a ceiling fan.

Villa Christina is well positioned, close to the port but away from the bustle of the town. It is a little oasis of calm and tranquility. Breakfast is served in the courtyard, under the shade of a lemon tree, such a delight.

Angela is a wonderful host. Calm and unflappable but with a great sense of humour. She gives the impression that nothing is too much trouble. My only regret is that we only booked one night. However, we will definitely be back and for longer next time.

If you are looking for a comfortable stay in Spetses, I cannot recommend Villa Christina highly enough.

Peace and Tranquillity Personified 

We stayed for 4 days and left with a happy face because of the greatest owners who gave us all the informations we needed to enjoy our time there.Their kindness and their hospitality was the best part of our staying.Our room was very clean and decorated nicely. The yard was the ideal place to have your breakfast-coffe and relax.We will be back soon.

Excellent service, balanced quality-price

I very much enjoyed my stay at Villa Christina. It is a charming traditional family-run villa with beautiful courtyard garden canopied by lemon trees and scented by lavender. Very good value for money. Central location. Very friendly and welcoming hosts who gave great recommendations for enjoying the island. Just what we wanted for our stay on Spetses.

Summary: 1. Complete disrespect towards customers
                 2. Non-professional
                 3. Liars
                 4. Extremely tight-fisted

 Let's start from the beginning, the owner on the phone understood that we are rather young in age and begged us not to book the room on the booking site but rather in cash when we went to see him, in this way this gentleman earns 30% of the  total price.

  Upon our arrival at the hotel then he told us that he will change our room knowing that we were only going to stay 3 nights.  Then he would tell us once that he was going to change us and then he would say it was not worth it .. he took us for fools.

 The last evening at the hotel he finally decided to change us room, he then took us to the back at a set of appartements of course without respecting the conditions of a hotel, we would say downright favélas in Brazil  .. it was just shocking

 We couldn't sleep due to the noise, I'm not even talking about the isolation of the building, the internet connection was almost non-existent, the room was dirty .. something to absolutely avoid in this period that we are living!

 The end of the holidays has arrived and the man took our money without even giving us proof of payment of 200 € (180 € for the hotel and 20 € for lunch)
 He did this because in Greece the taxes are huge and in this way he earns a lot more

 So he kept everything in his pocket and we had to force him to give us proof of the payment

 Conclusion: if you respect yourself you should never give your money to such a crook, he has been doing this since 2012 and almost all the comments say the same thing
 He frees the rooms fairly decent and brings back
  customers in favelas.

 Just unbelievable that such people exist among us, I lose hope that correct professional people still exist.
  Being Greek I spoke to him, and he never contradicted what I said because I was right I don't want to know what he does with tourists from abroad

 A real crook, watch out !!

A big joke

Very cute and cozy little room.The hostess was there when we arrived and was very polite and friendly. It was clean and tidy with nice decoration.

Excellent accommodation

It was not a good room very badly maintained and no good service.  The window of the bathroom had holes and were inserted into the mosquitoes. The refrigerator made a lot of noise when it worked and you could not sleep

Bad choice

Decent place to stay. Close to the centre. Everything is within walking distance. Clean rooms and good service.  Kind people happy to assist.  Definitely a place to stay if you are searching for something close to the harbour. No need to hire a bike

The Villa Christina is a lovely little hotel that's run by the very kind, Petras and Angeliki. It's not a luxury hotel, yet is quite charming. The standard rooms are small, yet clean & comfortable, and represent a good value. It is easy to find and within a few minutes walking distance from the port, shops and restaurants. It has a wonderful little whitewashed courtyard with a canopy of lemon trees where guests can relax over a delicious coffee or continental breakfast. Perhaps the nicest thing to add is that guests are treated very well and given advice on the best restaurants, beaches and other attractions. I hope to stay here again one day.
