Stayed for 3 days in August. Heracles was an excellent host and Can’t recommend His hospitality enough. The apartments are clean and spacious with everything you need including a fantastic shower.  - wonderful views of the mountains too. 5 stars ⭐️

Stayed there for two night. This is a clean, quiet, good value for money place. Our room had a nice balcony with mountains view. 

Above all, Heracles (the owner) is a great host and made us feel very welcome. 

Would truly recommend the place.

Really enjoyed our time at Heracles' place

The Pension is set just down from the main road making it a quiet place to stay with wonderful views of the mountains.

The room was bright and cheerful (many interesting original paintings), a good size and with comfortable beds.  The shower was really good.

The view from the balcony of the mountains and trees and geraniums was lovely.  There was a clothes horse so we could dry our swimming things. 

Heracles was very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was good.  Breakfast seemed a bit expensive but the room is very cheap so if you add the two together it is still a good price overall. You probably wouldn't get a better breakfast in the village for the price.  Orange juice lovely and an amazing array of home made jam.

The hotel is handy for walking around the village and Spili a great location for visiting the surrounding area,  We did two good walks while we were there.

Bright cheerful room with good view.

We stayed at Heracles for one night and had a pleasant stay in Spili. Heracles is very friendly himself and shows the wonderful Greece hospitality. The rooms are clean and with a basic interior, but as it is in a quiet village we thought this was rather fitting. Even though there were multiple guest during our stay, we only noticed this due to an increasing number of cars in the parking lot (there was no noise etc.). The location is a few minutes’ walk away from the city center, but even with a child it was not far.

Heracles perfectly presents the Greek hospitality in a quite village

The Heracles Pension (or Hotel as they classify it themselves) is located in the center of Spili, a far more touristic place than one would expect in this part of Crete, with lots of kafenions, restaurants and shops. 
The staff of Hotel Heracles makes you feel at home from the minute you set foot on the premisses. Our room was very clean, neatly furbished with a great view on the surrounding mountains from the balcony. Breakfast with at least six different homemade jams & marmalades on the shaded patio ensures a fine start of a brandnew day.

Very warm welcome

Really enjoyed my recent stay at Heracles Pension in Spili.  Lovely room, very clean, enclosed modern shower (!) balcony with view of magnificent scenery and the most friendly, helpful owner.  I had problems with accommodation for later on during my trip and he willingly took the time to make numerous phone calls for me to sort out the problem and loaned me an i-pad to use as well.  Very pleased with my choice of hotel and would stay here again if I am in the area.

Delightful place to stay

As the pension was full for our dates Heracles suggested we stay at the rental house but could come to hotel for breakfast. The house was amazing full of traditional features like large fireplace with bread oven, old cupboards in walls,  channel from old wine press; yet all the modern essentials ( washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, fridge freezer) for having an excellent self-catered stay. Breakfast was excellent, fresh bread, eggs and a variety of home-made jams. Heracles was full of information about walks, places to look for flowers and birds and provided photocopies of routes. There was an excellent selection of books for sale on local flowers and also some to read or provide information.

Charming traditional stone house renovated with all modern conveniences

We received a very warm welcome when we arrived. The owners speak excellent English and have a desire to help with pointing out interesting places to visit.Rooms a very good size and everywhere perfectly clean. Parking very convenient, the owner even reversed our car back to the main road for us! Breakfast excellent, a lovely range of home made jams.
Close to places to eat in the evening.
