I visited in Symi at the end of may and stayed  one night here. This was a lovely accomodation, stylish and renovated room. Good location was close to everything. The service was good and the host kept in touch and guided to the room. There was a bathrobe and slippers in the room. Equipment as in hotelroom. There was a fridge, a kettle, coffee and tea available. The room was quiet, although voices from the neighbors can be heard but I think it's normal.
I want to come back here on my next Symi visit and I can recommend this accomodation.

Nice accomodation in the Symi island

Unfortunately our stay at Marika was disappointing.
Upon arrival we were met by a nice lady who gave us the keys to our room.
The room itself was okay, but very basic. Price was not basic.
Bathroom was far too small. Shower was so small that you had the shower curtain all over you and you need to hold the shower in your hand.
There was only cold water on 4 mornings of our 5 nights stay which was very annoying and they did nothing to solve this problem.
For the same price you can get much better places to sleep in Symi.

I have stayed here on two separate occasions and therefore feel able to comment objectively. We booked through Booking.com which was very easy and had good contact with the owner, Elefteria, throughout. Do not let the fact that is  inexpensive or does not offer high end facilities put you off these clean and we'll maintained studios. Located to the rear of the Nireus hotel, therefore close to the clock tower, means that you are a very short walk from the ferries. You can approach Marika from three different directions, all of which require you to climb steep steps. The easiest is to the right of the Nireus as you look at it. We arrived at 0920 on the Express ferry and even though our check in time was scheduled for 1400 we contacted Elefteria who kindly allowed us to drop our luggage off until the studio was ready. The room we had was adequate for our needs and had the following: twin beds, dressing table with hair dryer, two chairs, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, cups and saucers, tea and coffee, wardrobe with two drawers and stacks of hangers, bedside tables and lamps, free aircon, ensuite wet room with shower, sink and toilet,  crisp breads, butter and jam which along with tea and coffee was replenished daily, a balcony with two folding chairs and a small table, a small clothes airer at the side of the balcony and a great view of Symi bay.
Not included (these are just for info and not a complaint): safe, plates and bowls, forks and desert spoons, mugs (bought two for 3 Euro at supermarket), cooking facilities, toiletries, iron and board. As I said we are not complaining that these weren't included, merely so you as a traveller can possibly plan ahead.
The studios are very clean and kept that way by Mina on a daily basis, she was always cheery and very helpful.

Lovely quiet location

We stayed here for 2 perfect nights in September. It is everything you want in a Greek island guesthouse.

Pluses:
1) Right up the stairs from the ferry harbor, overlooking the Old Town
2) Quiet, clean, secure
3) Gorgeous, airy rooms- we had the double with the sea view, and it had a balcony facing the sea
4) Refrigerator, cups, spoons, coffee, tea, and kettle in-room. We also borrowed bowls.
5) Very sweet, helpful staff
6) Just beautiful. Maritime Greek blue and white, in a yellow whitewashed house.
7) Free wifi (not very strong, though) and plenty of outlets
8) A/C
9) Incredible price point for what you get.

Minuses:
1) No breakfast is served, but enjoy greek yogurt from the grocery on your deck!
2) The shower is a bit cramped, with no place to hang the showerhead.

Absolutely our favorite place in Greece. One of the best guesthouses we've ever stayed at. Hugely recommend.

splendid apartments and met by our wonderful host eleftheria situated a short walk to the main port and restaurants nearest beach is a 10 min walk rooms are very spacious and delightfully decorated in white walls and blue doors window frames and bedding giving it a lovely nautical feel kettle provided which is a big plus and a small breakfast of biscuit and jams butter and teas coffee provided in the rooms lovely sea view very highly recommended
