This delightful family run property is ideally situated right by the beach.
It was clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The views from the balconies are a delight.
The owners were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
The taverna below was very convenient and the food was delicious.
Look forward to staying again.

Perfect location

Small traditional Greek apartments( only 6 in total) all with fabulous sea views.
Perfect for us situated right on a quiet beach with just a dozen sunbeds.
Comfortable with a great fan in the bedroom, we were in room 1 which in late September was shaded all day but that was a relief given the 30c heat that dropped little at night.
Well equipped kitchen with kettle and filter coffee machine. Free air con.
Lovely family run place.
Taverna downstairs offered lovely home made food and reasonably priced.

Stunning location, comfy bed and apartment

Basic, clean studios, great value for money, set on a small quiet beach. In easy reach to restaurants.
We enjoyed the walk into the main area but if you have mobility issues this place is not for you (unless you have a car or scooter).
Would highly recommend the boat across to Telendos.

Fantastic friendly studio


Ferreting about on google maps, spotted Melitsahas beach, a little to the west of Myrties, and decided that was the place for us.
Unbelievably, Anna’s is literally right on this beach, the only accommodation so placed, and we booked it for 9 nights at a bargain price, so not expecting much apart from location.

We’d had a lovely studio in Astypalaia before arriving here, so I was worried Mrs C might be a bit underwhelmed, but our studio, no.2 (I think it is very slightly bigger than the others?) was a joy. Modern, good little kitchenette, great bed, small yet perfect bathroom (always hot water!), a fan, mozzie screen and good quiet aircon … and that view! The beach below and looking across to Telendhos, the sun setting behind it at about 8.30pm…€ ‘000’s wouldn’t get you better. The other great thing is the northeast orientation of the balconies meant they were usable until around 1.30pm before the sun hit them. Too many south facing balconies we’ve had have been almost unusable in Greek summers, unless you’re on them at 6am😊

Melitsahas is a sort of locals secret, several Kalymniots told us, in a hushed, hand to the side way, about this and were delighted we’d already found it and were staying there! Pretty quiet most of the day, around 5 until 7.30pm, locals come down, and the kids burnt some energy in the sand & small shingle, with a fairly fast shelving into the water, 5mtrs out, 1.5mtrs deep. This is the best beach in the area, sandier than Myrties and most of Massouri.

There is a small shop run by the owners for immediate needs, and a basic grill house taverna below (the only place we found that had ‘fouskés’ a Kalymnian speciality shellfish - plenty to be had in Pothia though)

There’s a couple of small hills to overcome between here and the nearest other tavernas, 5mins (another) Anna’s tavern and Fountagio (our favourite, say hi to Giorgos), then you can either go through the harbour and along a scrappy pathway 5mins to Smugglers (meh food, nice people though, good for a drink) and Kouzina (good), or stay on the road and over another small hill to get to the same place. From Smugglers another seaside ‘path’ to the ferry dock for Telendhos, and Stalas taverna.



Can't believe it's not dearer.

Escape from the crowd :) Rent one of the full furnished, super clean studios situated right on the beach, spend your first evening watching the beautiful sunset from your private balcony, or have a tasty dinner in the taverna only downstairs. Then sleep well listening to the soothing waves. In the morning, take a short walk (10 min.) to buy some groceries to make some breakfast, then eat on your balcony, watching the quiet beach with crystal clear waters underneath. Than take only your beach towel and go to swimm :) You can use the sun beds for free. The taverna is open all day long, so you will not stay hungry or thirsty (other very good tavernas are only 3 min.walk away) You can plan your trips to explore the island using free Wifi not only in your room, but it reaches to the beach too. Find a time to talk to the nice and hospitable owners Mrs. Anna and Mr. Nikolas..... And that´s all i wanted to say :) ....Enjoy! ;-)

Hidden gem

We were on a climbing trip and stayed for 2 weeks in this lovely apartment. It was cleaned daily, except on Sunday. The location is superb being at the end of a road, away from major traffic, and the place has a nice beach. Beach lounges are free for guests. Below the studios was a nice restaurant with friendly staff and great Greek salad. We walked daily to our climbing destination and into town, really no need for car or scooter. There are lots of good restaurants in walking distance as well.
Anna, the owner speaks English very well and she is a fun lady to talk to.

Best View of Telendos

Super nice people clean and lovely location. At the other hotels downtown you have to contend with lots of noise from scooters in the AM. Anna's had some dogs up the road but the soft sea breeze and waves made up for some barking.

Location right on beach was great.

Clean restaurant downstairs with huge Greek salads. 

Cheaper if you book directly with Anna.

WiFi was funky you might have to ask her to reset it.

Very nice place and people

There are 6 studios run by a local family who are friendly and helpful.  The studios are based in a quiet, beachfront location with a lovely balcony view over the sea.  We stayed in room 5 which was very clean and modern with a small kitchenette with a fridge, kettle and microwave.  There is  free wifi and tv.  The bathroom has a shower (wet room style) with plenty of hot water and clean towels.  The room is cosy and gets very warm but it has airconditioning. The balcony has table and chairs and umbrella and very pleasant for sitting out.  The beach is directly outside the rooms and is family friendly and you can hire sun loungers.

Sea View

Very basic studio, but with everything you need (bring your own shampoo etc.) and with the most stunning view to Telendos. Service exceeds expectations and is very cordial. The place is kept spotlessly clean and there is direct access to a comparatively quiet beach, popular with the locals. Very nice restaurant downstairs and within easy walking distance from grocery shopping. Taxi to/from the port 12-15 Euro.
