This was the second time we were here in Skala Potamia. This year we spent 2 weeks in the hotel. The hotel is only 200 or 250 meters far from the sea. Even it is on the main road, It is not so noisy (but if you have noisy neighbours it Is! :)))
Our room was number 209. It is not a seaside room, but it was good. Room is good. Bathroom is a bit small, but clean. 
 I love Babis and Sofia, the owners. Babis gave us small presents (figs, peaches, tomatoes) almost every single day. The cleaning staff cleaned our rooms every second days, and they changed the towels, even if it was not a hotel room, but an apartment with kitchen. This was not the last time, we have been here. So see you next year and thank everything!

Very nice place. Trendy cool rooms. Good Prices. Wi-Fi in the rooms. A/C is great. Recomended to all travelers. Staff is very friendly people. They are very helpfull. Place is in very green place full of trees - mountain views etc. Sea view was great in our room.

I stayed here September of 2013 for 5 nights. Upon my arrival i was greeted with useful information about the town/island. The location is excellent, a quiet part of the Old Town which is extremely close to the beach. The hotel is not new but is very well  .Very clean room. Would definitely stay there again, i highly recommend it.

Lovely Family Hotel

Hotel Pontios is situated on the Thassos island,at the end of Skala Potamia(going south),on the main road ,on the left hand.Even is situated on the main road,there are no noise to disturb you.
There is a place to park your car(for free).
The rooms are nice,with refrigerator,air conditioning(never used)and a small equipped kitchen(if you don't have kitchen you have access to a large terrace equipped like a kitchen).
Also,there is a large terrace where you can have breakfast,served by the owner(that is a very nice lady).
The hotel is a few minutes,walking,from the sea side,but at returning,you have to ascend for about 100 m.
So,if you want to stay in nice and quiet  place(like all the Thassos island),you may go there.

A very nice place

We booked a suite in this castle like hotel. The building and the garden are beautiful and also we loved the room witch was decorated as in a castle - the kids loved it. But from 2 bathrooms only one shower was usable and also that one was leaking, making lot of water in the bathroom. 
The hotel is far from the beach and you have to climb quite a lot from beach to hotel. There is no elevator in the hotel, also. So if you have 2+ small kids it is not so easy accesible withtout the car.
We really apreciated that in the restaurant and inside the hotel there were no bees. Bees were very anoying in all the island.
