Hotel is very clean, pool daily’s clean.
Garden is beautifully. 
I think have oldest olives three from Thassos. 
Dimension rooms is exactly what you need for long holiday. 

Beach is clean, about 30 m/90ft from hotel. 

Water is blue, really Greece blue

We were here for one night in Sep. 2021 on our "road trip" by car. I find the room rate was ok for this standard and that a lovely breakfast buffet was included. Room was clean, had a wonderful sea view and a huge balcony. Lovely hardworking staff. Beach is near and quiet. We took the sunbeds from the hotel. We got a sunshade even from the hotel owner. So kind.
We had a very memorable stay here. Thank you.

Memorable stay

Sylvia hotel means a lot to us, small and cosy, looked after with love and care which all genuine guests should have very much appreciated. The home feel and welcoming atmosphere is simple amazing! Care form the owners and their staff should be appreciated by all guests. 
For all those “disappointed” travellers, check before travel, obviously if you all can read and see… This is a small lovely hotel, if you require a silver spoon services, you should stay elsewhere, well this may not be the case as your low very low budget won’t allow you to so. Stop sharing your own bitterness and get a life! We can only recommend this hotel to everyone who seeks unique atmosphere, very quiet and lovely hotel to have amazingly relaxing stay and holiday!

Small lovely and cosy hotel!

1) Rooms - small, but clean - we were not disappointed. Except for the fridge that seem not to be working properly (very weak chill). Room service was OK (we are not very tidy guest to be honest) :)

2) Food - if you think you will get a taste of some local cuisine, think again. Very low-cost dinners, usually store-bought and reheated or fried. Think baked potatoes, canned peas and carrot. Vegetarian option = more potatoes, peas and carrot. Breakfast buffet was pretty usual. Good coffee.

3) Staff - usually friendly, understanding, smiling. One time we asked for the dinner an hour earlier (cause we went for a wedding ceremony) and was told it is not possible. Not even tried to offer something else instead... 

4) I would probably not return here, but if you looking for something cheaper, go for it.

I chose this hotel based on good reviews. I do not know who writes these reviews, but everything was wrong from the very beginning. We got a super small room, it seemed small even for one person and we were two adults. We could barely move inside. There was no storage space, so we had to put our lugagges in the middle of the room on the floor and we could hardly walk. 
The bathroom was old, tiny, without a window and proper light. The cleaning service was not so good either. They did not change towels, although we put them on the floor.

The worst thing was the dinner. Do not expect Greed food. You will get frozen processed food or canned vegetables. In 7 days the food was edible only once - chicken and rice. Any other time we were going to a nearby restaurant. One of the reasons I go to Greece is the awesome Greek food! I lived and worked in Greece so I have a pretty good idea how it should look like.

The staff seemed to be afraid to talk to us. 

I do not recommend staying in this hotel. It ws a big dissapointment for us.

Bad surprise

I've stayed for 6 nights in this hotel - we had a room with a sea view - I strongly recommend this, the balcony is very large and the view is exquisite. The room is small, but clean. Old fashioned, but all you need is there. The hosts are very nice and you can get plenty of advice about what to do and see while in Thassos. A bit like home feeling...the kind of small hotel were you start to know the people living there. Nice breakfast, slight variations from one day to another. We also had dinner - tasty, home-like food. The staff is really supportive...that makes the stay even more enjoyable. Small, stony beach nearby the hotel...lawn and pool nearby the building.

Excellent stay for a short holiday!

For the second time at hotel Sylvia. Clean, comfortable rooms with great view to the sea. The beach is right near the hotel. Lovely stuff. Location is remote peaceful and quiet. On my list to visit every 2-3 years.
