This modest, simple, family-run hotel boasts a beautiful beach (Ermones) right in front of it. An excellent home kitchen, a beautiful and well-maintained swimming pool with sunset view. I would improve the maintenance of the rooms, especially the bathrooms. I recommend the rooms with sea view.

Hotel Helena, Ermones, Corfu

Very good location very close to the beach, away from the tourist bustle and yet there is everything you need nearby to have a good holiday: restaurant, bar, beach and small shop not far away... The car is of course indispensable. The hotel is very good, only bemool, as we were the first guests of the season we sometimes had a bit of cold and some problems with the hot water! Beautiful sea view of the room, restaurant and hotel terrace. The very friendly owners Costas and his wife) were listening to us and did everything they could to have a good week.

First customers of the season (early May 2022)

Stayed here with my family last year. Possibly due to results of covid, or just overall poor management, but the breakfast in the hotel was horrible. Very limited choice, not very fresh food, no variation of eggs apart from fried eggs. 

Rooms and swimming pool are very basic. The hotel would not have some essential things like the iron on demand. 

The only nice thing about this hotel is the view, which is truly spectacular. 

Beware, that the sea temperature in Ermones is probably one of the coolest in the whole of Corfu due to currents. We took a car to see the island, and discovered that the water was warmer pretty much everywhere else we went.

Another thing, is that there is no village with bars and restaurants, or supermarkets nearby, so you’ll need a car for the duration of the stay. Car rentals in Corfu start at £80 per day, so you might want to choose another location if you don’t want to rent a car for the whole duration of the stay. 

Overall I would not recommend staying in this hotel, as there are much nicer places in Corfu to stay.

In the middle of nowhere + Cold water

We went there to see the premises and verify prices for our next stay in Ermones. Instead we we're kicked out allegedly because no visitors were allowed in hotels due to Greek pandemic policy. No mandatory signs though at the entrance. Very strange owner family, rude and unfriendly, not greeting at all. Be careful here with all those 5 ***** reviews - writers are all first time contributors.

Very strange and sad experience

Hotel has excellent view on the sea and sunset from private balcony. There is a big clean pool with big resting area and bar.
It's a family run hotel and it provides all you would think of such place. Great and heartwarming approach, lovely atmosphere of the place and great family food.

Lovely stay in family hotel

Lovely little hotel. Staff very friendly. Pool is very large. Very quiet when we visited so had it to ourselves some days. Rooms are very comfortable although small. Bathrooms need updating but are very clean. Lovely balcony with stunning sea views.   Breakfast is a selection of meats, cheeses, bread, yogurt and fruit. Fried eggs are also on offer. Ermones Beach is in front of the hotel down a small hill where there is a Taverna serving a wide range of food and drinks. There is a small mini market close to the hotel and another one a 25 minute walk away. It is preferable you have a car due to the limited amenities in Ermones. There is one lively bar close by. We used the green buses to travel to Corfu town and had no issues. Loved the pool and being so close to the beach. 

Lovely peaceful hotel

My partner and I had a fantastic time at this family run hotel that affords a wonderful view of the Eastern coast. It is a quiet location, with only one restaurant and a bar within walking distance, which means a hire vehicle is required. Hotel is very clean and staff are friendly and it’s the best island view of the sunset from our bedroom balcony.

A lovely hotel with a stunning view

Hotel Elena is stunning in its great location, the views from the balconies and the restaurant/breakfast table are breathtaking. But Chef Costa and his family are the best at the hotel, very nice friendly people. The hotel has a very clean and large pool and all the rooms have sea views and a balcony. The dinner is very fresh and delicious, especially the fish. We are happy to come back. Fabian and family from Freiburg

Perfect for calm

The location of this hotel is truly divine, its sunsets seen from the pool are something unique. The breakfast is plentiful but of mediocre quality. The room they gave us was a little sacrificed for two adults and two children, so much so that we had to store a suitcase on the balcony. The interior spaces are still in the 80s... refreshed but a little backwards. What I really didn't like is the shower... connected to the central drain of the bathroom and closed by the curtain.
