It was cold without central heating A/C devices not working.
It was dirty and towels were filthy .
Couldn't stay got up in the middle of the night and left.
There was napkins blocking holes in the corners.

Absolutely Discusting

A very cheap hotel (motel, guest rooms, or whatever this was)
The host , Mr. Alekos was very kind and helpful and tried to have clean rooms. But that was all. The place needs total renovation, the facilities were from the 70s, very old furniture, old bathrooms and kitchen (where it was available). The place was near the beach and 5 km away from the city center. We have chosen it because finding a parking space in Volos is really hard, when nit provided by a hotel.

A cheap hotel with the minimum facilities

One night stay. Family with kids.

The entire building and furniture looked like they weren't upgraded in ages.

Floors looked dirty.

Bedroom: There were holes in the wardrobe. Sheets seemed clean.

Kitchen: except for the fridge that was fortunately clean, we couldn't touch anything else in it. Everything else seemed dirty.

Bathroom: we simply didn't dare to have the children taking a shower in the morning. That should say it.

Lastly, it was way too expensive for the conditions offered. I reckon it should have been at least half the price.

We would have cancelled it if we had not arrived to the property too late in the evening after a long drive.

Really unpleasant experience

The apartment was spacious but furniture and walls were too old and out of date. Close to the beach and tavernas. It is bearable for one night but will stay no longer than that. The price is cheap in exchange of the quality. Will not recommend it to my friends.

One night stay

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights because of its location close to the Volos airport (Ryanair destination). It is situated at about 10 minutes from the centre of Volos and about 35 minutes from the airport. The room was spacious and very clean, including hallway and separate kitchen and bathroom. The town isn't up to much but has bars and restaurants along the sea front. We arrived when it was dark and had difficulty in finding the place. Tip: take note of the greek spelling of the hotel as the signpost we overlooked looked nothing like 'Apolafsi'! If you don't need to be so near to Volos, you can most likely find a cheaper place, on the coast, closer to the airport. We visited the region end April, and at 40 eur per night, this hotel was the most expensive of our 3 hotels. Finally if you are aiming to explore the Mount Pelion area, don't stay this side of Volos, go to for example Afissos. I do not think the hotel has a pool (so disregard the 'terrible' rating for the pool if that appears, I just can't deselect the setting!)
