Memorable stay. very nice place, a bit rustic but very atmospheric; the owner  Kiki is a wonderful host, caring, and made us feel most welcome, also guiding us in the village and its history.  She drove a long way late in the evening to show us the right way after the lower road was damaged in the heavy rains.  Highly recommended hotel!

The property has an easy access in Makrinitsa. The views from several terraces in the hotel are stunning! 
Our room (Petrino) had everything we needed for a remarkable stay. 
Kiki is the best host ever, also Eleni and Niko are great!
The breakfast was mainly local stuffs, absolutely delicious and simple. 
We had a singing night with Niko (playing guitar) Kiki (singing) and some other hosts (doing our best :-), we had such a lovely time. Sad to leave the place but sure that we'll be back. 
I highly recommend this lovely place, is absolutely worthy! A gem in Makrinitsa :)

Undeniably one of the best accommodations I have resided in Makrinitsa! The hostess was very friendly and helpful. There was a huge variety of things to choose from for breakfast. 
I suggest this place to everyone that wants relaxing vacation.


A fitting resort for a trip!

Great location, dreamy view, tasty breakfast, best of the best hostess Mrs Kiki ! We will definitely return in the future!  Archontiko Melanthi is very close to the central square of Makrinitsa and provides excellent breakfast. Very clean, cozy and traditional decorated rooms. Relaxing and friendly environment.

Makrinitsa is a small traditional hillside village and very charming. I stayed here for 3 nights during October 2019. 
I was warmly welcomed with a glass of the local brew, Tsipouro upon arrival. 
Ms. Kiki is an exceptional host and she provided so many tips on what to do in the area, where to hike and what local food to try etc. 
The views from the room and the property's terrace is beautiful. Amazing sunset views! The breakfast changes daily and is so delicious!  
Overall, I had a very enjoyable & relaxing time and would love to return to this special place.

Charming traditional property with the most wonderful host (Ms. Kiki)!

Everything was simply perfect: the room (spacious and beautiful), the location, the view, the cleanliness, the breakfast and, of course, the people, who make an honest and heartwarming effort to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible, while being discrete and respectful at the same time.

10-day unforgettable stay

We was second time in Makrinitza and first time in Melanthi Mansion.
Kiki is excellent host. Very kind and warm person. You can get a lot of useful information about Pellion, Greek history....... 
Apartmnet  is very clean, breakfast is delicious, the view is fascinating, so we would definitely come again to see Kiki, Makrinitza and Pellion.

We came 6 nights for Easter and 1 st of May 2019. We enjoyed the very warm welcome from our host, they met us in the parking place, help us carry the luggage. The room had a wonderful view over Volos. It was a little bit cold in the night, but overall cozy and nicely decorated. The breakfast was very good, a lot of home made pies and cakes. We received vegetables, when we asked. The host guided us through Makrinitsa, explaining us interesting things about its history. She recommended a lot of tours in Pelion, good tavernas and views. 
I enjoyed my time there, definitely will come back. I highly recommend Melanthi guest house accomodation! The Location is great, near the parking place and center of Makrinitsa.

From the beginning we have got a warm and friendly welcome.
The town Makrinitsa and property of Melanthi are absolutely authentic and charming.
The owner Kiki is always at your disposal for anything you need, in a respectful and professional way. The rooms perfectly respect the local style and are equipped with all comforts, including fireplace and wood. From the rooms and the structure in general you can enjoy fantastic views on the sea and the city of Volos. Full breakfast of excellent quality, including both sweet and salted. We recommend a minimum stay of 3 nights to have enough time to discover the wonders of Makrinitsa and Mount Pillio.



A wonderful surprice

So, we stayed a the archontariki suite and we arrived Thursday..which is very important cause most of the travellers arrive Friday.: I had to call at the reception to turn the heat on ..or to tell them that the water in the shower was cold...For the first time in my life i stayed in a hotel..were they are turning of the heat during the night. The first morning...at breakfast everything except the coffee were colld, the small cheese pies were not fresh..the best thing were the cornflakes...and i told it to the owner...and she answered back that the fry the pies the night before..cause is not possible to wake up from six o clock in the morning.., that she how i dod not be satisfied...with 3 types of corn flakes  and that the breakfast did not have everything cause the hotel was not full...as a matter of fact..Saturday  she came at my table and she told me politely.." is everything ok?, you see today the variety of food that we are full of guests?..The next day i left and i payed for a good breakfast as offered to the most of the hotel at that region...i asked for the receipt..and the owner was not there..i am still waiting for the owner to send me my receipt for the accomondation. Most important: the kids in archontariki are sleeping in the living room were also are the stairs..the door to theese stairs is with o broken safety....
