A lovely traditional house very close to the central gateway square, the very kind lady, impeccable cleaning and delicious breakfast with typical homemade products.

This mountain lodging offers a unique charm, with a lovely lady who hosts you around the clock, and you can breathe fresh high air in unpaved rooms with wide windows.

It's very hospitable.

A place which truly feels like home. Stayed with my girlfriend for one weekend and the hospitality of Mrs Litsa was a one of a kind thing. With newly renovated rooms and a build in fireplace, our stay was one we cannot forget. Would truly recommend the Archodiko!

Authentic Greek warm hospitality

A cosy and clean place in the village of Portaria. The owners always make us feel like home with a rich breakfast and a warm smile. The place is located near the center of the village of Portaria where you can find restaurant coffee places and markets.

Feels like home

The family who run the place renovated this old mansion. You are welcomed with a very big smile and the family are very friendly and do their outmost to please you. The breakfast is very traditional (with local products) and all the goodies are so delicious that it goves you the perfect start to your day. It is right at the heart of Portaria, so you don't need a car to go around. It is also a minute away from "Walk of the Centaurs", which you must visit when in Portaria.

Wonderful and relaxing stay

This is one of the most elegant medieval (but renewed) mansion (Arhontiko) in Portaria, the first village of Pelion, close to Volos, Magnesia, Greece. Spectacular sunset view from the first floor, very cozy rooms decorated for a time travel to the past of Greece.
Historical mansions are protected by the archaeological – byzantine committee of the Greek government, therefore they cannot install air-conditions. Summer nights in Pelion are very cool so you won’t need an air-condition at all. Moreover the hosts are extremely friendly and the breakfast at the beautiful terrace, gazing at Volos very good.  I strongly recommend the Arhontiko Panagoula, although doesn’t provide a parking area. Don’t park on the road! Thera are 2 open parking areas in Portaria in a walking distance and you’ll certainly enjoy the shops and taverns on the way!

it is  like home!!!

We were captivated by the kindness of the owners, who won us over with a wonderful breakfast, full of typical dishes and delicious homemade sweets made by the owner's wife, Ephtalia! Our room was perfectly clean and warm, probably one of the most welcoming we've been to in 15 days of travel.
