Kokkari

The location outside the village is highly recommended if you are looking for peace, as we are. The two houses are beautifully framed by many fruit trees, wine and very many flowering plants. Mary is an extremely kind and very warm hostess and the understanding is very good in English. We had a double room with breakfast booked. The room was exceptionally clean and all the windows are equipped with flying lighters. The breakfast was varied and more than sufficient. There was fruit every day from our own. We felt at all times and will surely be back! It was truly wonderful two weeks.

It was a dream!

The location is not, by itself, well maintained. It is an old structure with a rather narrow room and bathroom. The treatment and feeling that is established with Alekos and Maria is, instead, special. They are two elderly people but try to make you feel really important. The inn is located in a pine tree three hundred meters from the center of Kokkari, surrounded by fruit trees of all kinds (fish, pears, oranges, bergamot). The two elderly people sit in the evening in front of the house and chat with the guests offering, with sympathy, fragments of lived life and glasses of excellent grappa or produced directly by them with the garden products.

Familiar and friendly

The rooms were excellent, cleanliness very good, good location for various excursions a little out of the village, but easily accessible on foot, very nice landlords who are at your disposal with advice and action.

Quiet location with very nice owners

We are visiting kokkari again not just to meet old friends Alekos and Maria but also the many friends that we have made in the village. The kindness that people show us you would not know that they are having big problems

Holiday for two oldies

This year 2015 will be our 4th year at Alekos pension and we cant wait to get there.

Its true all the reviews say the same thing like going home to old friends.

Alekos and Maria cannot do enough and make you feel so welcome excellant clean rooms with fridge and aircon.

Breakfast is different everyday not just bread and jam.

Rooms are basic but very comfortable and very clean.

Lovely peacful grounds with oranges growing on the trees fantastic to take to the beach.

Alekos and Maria are so helpful and will give advise as to where to visit on the island and are always willing to help with any problem no matter what.

Lovely beachs good choice of restaurants very close to the property a very safe beautiful place to make a base.

We are both looking forward to going back this summer.

Looking forward to another Wonderful holiday

Stayed for 10days. Beautiful, quiet, but central location. Family run and always helpful.  Very clean room, air conditioning, cupboard to put our clothes in, small but adequate bathroom, small balcony with clothes line to hang washing - which was great. Basic breakfast, but fresh and fruit home grown, wonderful. Short walk (2mins) to the water and flat walk to the local town  and restaurants (maybe 10mins). Great town, friendly people, lots of beach to swim in and friendly locals. Loved our stay

wonderful holiday

just had another great 3 weeks at Alekos this was our 14th year hope we have many more ,already looking for flights for next year ,we have bed and breakfast but there are apartments and flats to choose from what ever you choose you will be well looked after with alekos and his wife maria ,also his daughter looks after the rooms which are kept very clean ,not far from all the beachs and resturants ,by the way marinas restaurant is very close by and the food is very good all home made looking forward to next year

another good holiday

I stayed there for 3 nights. Very clean, a near the beach, many resterants are aound it. The boss can send to you every where if you want , because the number of taxis in ths small island is limilted.

Nice guest house

Alekos is a simple hotel (family business) with no snacks in an absolutely quiet location. We had a studio, i.e. a relatively small room with kitchen (two dishes, water boilers, dishes, etc. everything there) and a refrigerator. A small bathroom. Very clean, every two days is cleaned and laundry changed. Air conditioning can be paid for; we have left it despite the heat and with a bath window and a terrace door (flying sunshine!) for passage. The owners have a large garden on the back side, from which guests can also get a few beds and buses after seeing the books.:-) But sometimes you can also sit on the terrace with the supermarket. We also had a big target (even for the rest of the house). We also had a large one (for a few minutes, but we also have to go to the front of the house with a view of the sea, but we also have to go to the front of the house with a view of the sea.

Nice little hotel in a dreamlike location

We stayed at the Alekos Pension on our trip to Samos and the Greek islands, after being recommended by friends who had already been there. It was a great choice for Samos, because the location was great and the rooms were very comfortable and clean! Exactly what we needed after all the stress on the ferries and hotel nights on the other islands, which were not all that great.
