Five stars is not enough. The meticulous hosting, the level of care, the amenities and the location are all unsurpassed. There is great value as well. I highly recommend. Selfishly I want to hide my review, but George and his family work too hard to keep this a secret.

Don’t miss this gem

We have been staying at Lithos since it was built and we wouldn’t choose to go anywhere else! 
The accommodation is clean, extremely well equipped and has amazingly comfortable beds (better than at home!).
The rooms are serviced daily and bed linen/towels regularly changed.
The swimming pool and its tranquil setting among the olive trees is perfect for relaxing on the sun beds with a good book.
The view from our balcony was breathtaking, especially at sunset (with a glass of wine!), perfect for a romantic night in!
Giorgos and Mersina are the most lovely couple and cannot do enough for you.
Don’t forget to visit the best taverna in the village (owned by Giorgos) - Gialos (by the sea)!

Fantastic location

We stayed in the top floor studio called  Kimisiri . The photos don't do it justice , the decor is really lovely and everything new looking and spotlessly clean. Lots of room and a very comfy bed and pillows with high quality linens.  Shower works well with very good pressure. Great balcony with views across olive groves and down across the sea.  The pool area is also spotless and very well maintained. Mersina and Yorgos are lovely hosts and make sure you are happy. The room is cleaned every day and linens changed every couple of days. A very generous breakfast is left everyday which is enough for lunch too! Breakfast items include fresh oranges for you to squeeze in the juicer provided, fresh and instant coffee, sugar, yoghurt and honey, selection of breads and pastries , eggs, selection of cold meats , cheese and tomatoes. Toiletries and washing up liquid also provided .  Very quiet location within easy walking distance of restaurants and Main Street. 
What a fabulous place , we would definitely recommend it.

Fabulous in every way

My family and I have just returned from a wonderful 10-day holiday staying at the Lithos Guesthouse. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The guesthouse comprises 4 self-contained units within a secure complex, all with a large balcony or terrace. We had booked two units, one for ourselves and the second for our daughter, son-in-law and grandson.  The accommodation is well appointed and very clean. It is also cleaned daily, with towels and bedding changed every other day.  There is very efficient air-conditioning, although we preferred to have the French windows open and the fly screen across the doorway.  The owners installed a beautiful swimming pool a year or so ago. The pool surround has very generous provision of sun beds and umbrellas. As there are only 4 units, one frequently had the pool to oneself. It is only a 3 minute walk downhill to the main part of Kardamyli and a very easy walk back up the hill at the end of an evening out.  The Lithos Guesthouse certainly deserves its 5 star rating.

Exceptionally comfortable accommodation for a family holiday.

Excellent experience! Great rooms, not only from the aesthetic point of view but also because there was provision for every single need the guest may have. The breakfast was delicious, always super fresh and very well organized, with perfect compliance to health and safety maintenance. The people absolutely kind and the location is the best and the most convenient.

The best rooms in Kardamyli!

We stayed in the Makroni apartment and it was amazing! The apartment is beautifully appointed and finished to a very high standard.  There is a lovely swimming pool and as there are only four apartments we had this to ourselves which is rare in the height of the summer. It is situated on a very quiet lane but only 10 minutes walk at the most to a few restaurants and bars.  Kardemili is extremely picturesque with huge mountains surrounding it and crystal clear water on the beaches nearby.  At the time we visited Greece was experiencing a heatwave (45 degrees in the afternoon some days) and we were unable to leave the air conditioning on when we left the apartment - this resulted in returning to a very warm apartment that took a while to cool down.  Also, when leaving the room and removing your key the electricity stops working (apart from the fridge) so we couldn't charge devices.  We did feel for the money paid for the room we should have been able to leave the air conditioning on when leaving the apartment - particularly during the hottest summer months.  Overall, I would highly recommend staying but would only return the Spring or Autumn months.

BEAUTIFUL APARTMENT

Unfortunately, this was a really disappointing experience at the end of an otherwise fantastic trip. I wanted an especially nice accommodation for our last day so I was willing to spend a bit more than usual. We stayed at the biggest room with the "best" view for 140 Euro. The price is a total rip-off and not justified at all. Every other accommodation along our trip has been better. No coffee machine, just a French press, the breakfast in the fridge waiting for the next day. The whole apartment smelled like the salami in the fridge, even the yogurt tasted like salami. The breakfast overall was sad and cheap, no fresh bread, simple cheese and ham from the supermarket. The accommodation is located at a super busy street with many construction sites, which was the sound of our breakfast. Our view to the side was on another construction site and the street. In the swimming pool swam a cockroach. On our arrival the owners wife explained us that we need to keep the windows shut in order for the air condition to work - when we needed the air-condition at a hot night it didn't work despite all closed windows. We couldn't open the windows either because of the loud street so we were fried in our room. I needed to walk 15 minutes to the restaurant in order to pay for the accommodation. I chose a 4 star accommodation to just relax in a perfect setting. This was definitely not what I got. Zero service, zero relaxation. We needed to leave early the next day and I tried to contact the owner to ask for a discount regarding all the inconveniences. He was not reachable so we drove to the airport and called back in the afternoon after he tried to contact me while driving. After a long and unpleasant discussion he offered me a 25 Euro discount for the breakfast, which he understood was bad indeed. Unfortunately, I never got this money... I think there are definitely much nicer places in Kardamili that are just at the water, more quiet and relaxing with more value for your money. I don't understand the outstanding ratings. This is not a 4 star place.

Totally overrated

This is our third stay in the village but our first in Lithos, this is by far the best place to stay. We stayed in a room overlooking the pool, which unless you book the top suite gives you the best view of the sea. 
The rooms are fantastic, everything has been thought of and is in the right place, plugs are perfect, no craning your head to dry your hair etc. The beds are amazing and the tv, which comes out of the foot of the bed has a mirror the other side. Showers are powerful and it is all really clean. The outside space on your balcony is really big, so it is comfortable to have your breakfast overlooking the sea. The pool was really welcome , we stayed from the 10th October for 4 nights and it was 27 degrees! and the whole place is so peaceful. It is literally 4 minutes walk to the village. 
We would not stay anywhere else.

4 units and a shared pool, perfect!

We have just returned from yet another fantastic stay at Lithos.

This time we stayed in apartment Kimisiri, on the top floor - wow!! ... it was amazing!  The views of the village, sea and mountains were stunning and, as with the other apartments, it was superbly equipped, spotlessly clean and well serviced with regular linen changes etc.

The owners, Giorgos and Mersina, are extremely friendly and accommodating and can’t do enough for you.

This year a swimming pool had been added and it was so lovely to lie under the olive trees on very comfortable sun beds ... perfect, and so peaceful.

To finish off a perfect day head down to Giorgos’s taverna, Gialos, (situated by the beach) for traditional Greek food cooked by his mother - in our opinion it is truly the best in Kardamili!

We love it so much we have already booked for next year!
