Do not hesitate ; just go there. Beautiful rooms in an amazing old mansion. Very large rooms, beautifully decorated; fabulous homemade breakfast with both international and local flavor (and copious enough to be also our beach lunch). In the heart of the great nightlife. And the host was just perfect.

Exelent location in the beautiful Old Town of the city. Exelent service and very polite staff. Great interior with renovated murals. Definitely perfect place to stay when visiting Xanthi. Near the hotel there is plenty of taverns, shops and cafeterias.

amazing hotel

This boutique hotel is an excellent choice .It is situated in the beginning of the old town of Xanthi ,  an impressive old building ,recently renovated  which great care .
The owners are very polite , helpful and offer very nice breakfast .Extremely comfortable mattresses.

An excellent boutique hotel

We chose Boutique 1905 as we travelled through Greece based almost totally on its reviews. If you stay in Xanthi, an absolutely beautiful town, STAY HERE at 1905. People, location, quality accommodation, friendly, spotlessly clean, superb breakfasts. Left early on our last day to catch train and they made sure we had a great breakfast package to take. Just wonderful friendly people. Many happy memories of this beautiful part of Greece! And a fabulous town!

This is a gem in the city's historic old town. It has been exquisitely restored by the owners to its old glory as a residence of Ottoman pashas. They didn't cut any corners, everything is a reminder of bell epoque glories. The rooms are huge and they can easily accommodate 4 people.  Breakfast is individually prepared for guests and includes more than you can eat, all home-made. The owners are friendly to the extreme. Beautiful little palace

Our room was very spacious with exquisite decoration, excellent breakfast with local products and varying their content every day, and very friendly staff offering helpful tips for activities in nearby locations and for dining in locations with very good local cuisine.

An elegant and comfortable hotel with exquisite décor.

We are a family of three and had a suite at the top floor of this beautiful hotel. It was very spacious and all the furniture were looking to be of the 1900s but of course were new. Great attention to detail.

The room was clean and our bathroom was lovely. The hotel is family owned and it is obvious they pay a lot of attention to the building and the service and their guests. 

The breakfast was superb, with freshly prepared eggs, cake and savoury pies every morning.  Also, the dinner was wonderful, very fresh food and lovingly prepared by the mother of the owner. 

The building is from 1905; the family bought it and took years to renovate it. The owners are architects and engineers themselves so they knew what to do. Even the frescoes have been kept to the original designs.

The hotel is small and in the centre of Xanthi so everything is walking distance. We went round Christmas and the main square was decorated and it was lovely to walk around. The old town is also a short walk away.

Parking is a problem by the hotel but we found a car park a few minutes’ walk away with 5 euros charge for the whole day. Hardly expensive! 

The only issue is that there is a nightclub opposite the hotel and it plays until the early hours of the morning. Even though the windows are thick and new, still the sound is present. Take earplugs with you for sure. 

We would recommend this hotel to couples of families for sure! 

Wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel 

I enjoyed very much to stay at this hotel. The family operating the hotel is very hospital. I felt that I was staying at my home.  The hotel was originally a house of Ottoman Pasa ... it is a full of history.

I visited Xanthi on a business trip, stayed at 1905 BH for one night, and it has been one of the best hotels I' ve stayed in northern Greece. Excellent rooms, renovated with care, and the most kind and friendly personnel. Worth visiting and experiencing the warm hospitality!
