Pyrgoi Theodorakaki is a small beach hotel and a family business. They also have Akrogiali hotel right next to this, which is more of the type of rooms that you'll find on an island, slightly cheaper and with better view of the bay. Gerolimenas is a great location for a brief getaway, small village, very quiet. We liked the beach very much, although small the water is always very clear and with many things to explore if you're into snorkeling or scuba diving.
The rooms are small but cozy and everything was very clean. Don't expect any amazing views though as almost all towers have small windows by design. We liked the traditional wood and stone interior. The bathroom was very small which could have been "saved" if it was bright enough but the dim lighting didn't help.
As for the breakfast don't expect much, each day they make something different (pies, local recipes etc.) but generally it is very limited. The owners' tavern serves as the breakfast area which is directly beneath the rooms, convenient if you need a quick bite.
The staff and owners were very helpful and polite and as some have said, is the hotel's strong point.
Generally speaking, if you can find it on offer go for it. We were unfortunate enough to book it a month prior and the price was 40% off at the time of our arrival. Keep in mind though that it is usually the cheapest in the area.

Quite good, if you know what to expect.

Contrary to the poor reviews I've read about this hotel, I'd say that everything was very good. The room was a little small, but it doesn't matter where you're supposed to be out all day and enjoy this beautiful nature! The staff were charming to us, the owner in particular. Everything was there: kindness, generosity and attention. We were even overcrowded. Breakfast was standard and very good. The view is breathtaking on the cove. Free parking in front of the hotel. Truly, this hotel offers great services.

It's a nice address

We booked for 5 days believing that the hotel was a historical mansion. The true fact is that the hotel is supposed to be a traditional tower but it is not, it is just a stonebuilt building at a nice spot. The rooms are extremely small and the furniture really cheap. In the bathroom you can barely shower being obliged to touch the (disgusting) curtain all the time! The windows are very small and ventilation and fresh air almost non existent. Staff in the breakfast area are rude (interestingly they were the owners) and breakfast was disgusting. (obviously we never tried lunch there). Entrance to the hotel was through the back of a restaurant, as such it smelled food. The latter of course was not as bad as when it smelled like garbage as the owners pick up track was parked there and was used as garbage truck!

Very small rooms and very rude staff

The first day we were welcomed by Mr Giannis,the owner of the hotel. He was the only kind and smiling person of the staff respecting the client.  The room is definitely suitable  for a hobbit!! In the bathtub, while taking a shower it's easy to get hurt with help of a small step inside of it, while the curtain is getting attached to your body. After that, get out of the bathroom to dry your self or else you will break something inside the room. Also the room is very small too. There isn't enough place and no trash bin  (we were forced to buy trash bags). Furthermore, the WiFi is awful as it connects and disconnects all the time. However, the maids were very polite and kind and they did good job with the clean up!!
The breakfast, that it was included to the room price, was poor, badly cooked and served by a half-sleeped waiter.  Also,  we were not informed about the severe existence of bees and sphinxes which were attacking us making it impossible for us to enjoy our breakfast with a beautiful view. Due to allergic reaction we asked the waiter to help in someway but he just ignored us. 
As a result,  we stopped having breakfast there and we asked to deduct the breakfast cost from the total room price. 
In conclusion, the day we checked out and the daughter of the co-owner stated a price including breakfast. As a result, we asked for the breakfast cost to be fully deducted for the days that we did not have it, receiving a facial response of arrogance, pity, anger and disapproval.

Rude staff, rude staff, rude staff and small rooms

The beach in front of the hotel and the tower is crowded and next to the numerous bathrooms lie undisturbed abandoned dogs. The stand for the costumes and seacloths is in common with the other guests (one for each floor). In the guest rooms but also in some rooms the bathroom is microscopic and windowless.

Disappointing

My boyfriend and I stayed in Pyrgoi Theodoraki for two nights, the service was amazing! We arrived late on Friday around 11.30pm and the hosts where very friendly and kind to serve us dinner on the pebble beach straight away, and show us to our room. 
The room is quite small yet very clean, decent for a young couple. We did not really stay in the room, just came back for a shower and to sleep, which I believe it is exactly what it is for. If you want a room with great location - you can have a morning swim straight away after waking up and continue your day - right in the heart of Gerolimenas, this is a great choice! But i would not recommend it for more than three nights or to someone that wants to relax in a hotel.

ps. the windows in the room are very small, which does not allow a lot of air, yet they are quite picturesque, as you can pip through and see the great views of Gerolimenas village

Great for two/three nights if you are looking to explore beautiful Mani!

We were part of a small group (6 couples) from Mexico and we loved this little hotel. The owner came out to meet the minibus when we pulled up and gave us a welcome. The rooms, although not luxurious, were super clean and quite acceptable. The hotel had a lot of ambiance. Breakfast was plentiful and service was pleasant.
We all remember this hotel as one of the best and most atmospheric we visited.
All of us would definitely stay again.

Loved the location! Rooms were very nice

Best to avoid the attic rooms which are tiny, cramped and dark, having only the smallest windows. I am only 162cm tall and couldn’t fully stand in one end of the room. My husband being 185cm kept hitting his head on the  corridor on his way into the room. Neither of us are claustrophobic but 1 night stay was more than enough. Breakfast was the worst experience of our 4 week trip, all heavy carbs and poor cold coffee. Even a little fresh fruit and Greek yogurt was not available as it was in most other places as standard. 
Beach and location was nice enough, sun beds and drinks service available. 

Nice location, but that’s about it

The rooms in the old part of the building are lovely, although quite noisy.
Position is great: a few meters from the beach, plenty of restaurants in the area, free parking spaces.
Wi-fi did not work at all.
Breakfast is an issue: no buffet, poor in quality and variety.

Great position with some minor issues

We had a great lunch at this place. They let us choose fresh fish which had been catched hours before. The service was great and they were very friendly. Nice salad on the side, seaview. Perfect. We were surprised.
