A budget stay near the center of Antigua. The hotel is located within 1 KM  from ''Inglesia de la Merced, Santa Catalina Arch , Plaza. Mayor.'' There's the chicken buses running in front of the Hostal that are well decorated yet can get you around the city .The rooms were spacious with cable T.V. that had just two English speaking channels. The rooms had toiletries (soap) with showers that had hot water. There is a courtyard in the hotel one could roam about, a well decorated  dining room with tasteful art.. It's an older hotel built in the late 1800's with a hacienda atmosphere. They'll serve breakfast on request, cost $4.00 USD.. There is a small kitchen in where one can prepare meals. The hotel is located 100 meters from the market in which one could buy produce from merchants. Gilda the owner will give you a key so you can do in/out without having to ring the doorbell. Just be careful of Gilda's dog he growls at times. :>)

A budget hostal near center of city

My husband and I stayed here for a week near the end of our trip. We wanted somewhere to relax, cook food, and make trips to the market, and this hotel is perfect for it. Gilda, the owner, was extremely helpful and kind, and so was everyone else working there. We had a room in front of the small courtyard garden, and left our door and windows open at night to listen to the rain fall. There is even a night-blooming jasmine that smelled amazing at night. 

The kitchen is a little small, but I believe that they had to relocate the dining room because of the pandemic. 

Our rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. It's nice and cool in the evenings, and the noise from the street is blocked out by the walls. A great stay!

Quiet, relaxing, and well-located

A few blocks from the center but close to the public market and "chicken bus" station if you are travelling that way. I had a small budget room but it was comfortable, clean and had hot water. I didn't try the breakfast. The staff are friendly and most speak some English if that is a concern. You are given a key so you can come and go as you want without bothering the staff.

great budget hotel

We started in San Juan la Laguna made it almost to Mazatenengo before we hit the protest/ road closed until 6 pm. We rent a car and avoid driving in the dark especially when we are not familiar with where we are going. So all the way around above lake Atitlan hit Antigua wiped, We went straight to ST  Hilda (the owner) is running it and it is cleaner and nicer than even before (with Hecteo and Anabela) 242Q for a night. There is a place to park nearby 50Q for overnight so not the cheapest place but often worth it.

Always comfortable and clean

Great place to stay overall. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. It has a nice patio and balcony where you can relax. And if you walk a minute you are right in the hart of Antigua. I would 100% recommend this place.

Great Value stay near the center of Antigua.

The staff at Hotel Posada Santa Teresita is  friendly and helpful. The owner is lovable. The room was simple but nice. Location very good, but a bit away from Plaza Mayor. Good value for money. Generally, I  recommend this place.
