Top rated hostel in the heart of Xela. It is located in a beautiful 19th-century house with wooden floors and old furnitures, cozy and comfortable with lots of plants distributed in two inner courtyards. It has dorms and private rooms (sharing two bathrooms). Very welcoming. The staff is made mostly of super friendly volunteers. It is also super clean and has a shared communal kitchen with a oven and a big fridge.

The dorms start at 50Q per night
It is a great value for money!

Best hostel in the heart of Xela

The hostel is very very nice, has a lovely patio & the rooms are clean and big. The kitchen is perfect equipped for cooking & the staff is so friendly and helpful. You can get to know other people easily in the common areas, but it's a calm and small hostel (no party hostel). I would definitely recommend staying here when in Xela!

Perfec stay in Xela

This is the best hostel in Xela, everyone recommends it on the local pages and it deserves it! I have stayed many times during my travels in Guatemala (everyone seems to come back!) and its like coming home. The incredible staff go above and beyond, are super friendly, its very clean and with the hottest shower ive had in Guate! They help you with everything you need here. Its beautiful, tranquil and with the comfiest beds ever. Its also in a perfect location to reach all the tourist attractions and surrounded by restaurants, markets, bars etc. But inside the hostel is an oasis of calm as well. With great WiFi if you need to work.

AMAZING, best place to stay in Xela!!

We stayed for a couple of nights and had a nice time!  Would recommend asking for a room that isn't on the road though as it was very loud most of the night and early morning.  Also recommend asking not to have a private room next to the dorm if it's a weekend as the walls are fairly thin and we could hear everything and asked to switch rooms!  Overall it's a nice place for a few nights though.

Nice little place

Everytime I stay in Xela, it's my number one choice ! I stayed two times in Casa Seibel now, and I'm always received by an amazing team, quite flexible and kind. Happy to give advice and recommendations. The place is an old house quite well preserved. Everything is very clean, very well-working and very friendly. The location is so easy and very accessible. I highly recommend !

New Years Eve in Xela

I stayed here for 2 weeks back in late November/early December. I loved everything about the place...the fully stocked kitchen, the proper home-style living room, the dining room with a real dinner table, the communal areas, the ever-friendly and extremely helpful staff (especially Jenny!!)... the beds were very comfortable and cozy for a chilly city. If you want extra blankets, they have those too. The hostel is clean, the showers are hot, and the staff actually takes the time to explain how to use the showers and the rest of the hostel systems. They also have laundry options: a sink with a soap and brush if you want to do it yourself, or they will have your laundry cleaned for 40q (I think) per bag. I love staying in hostels that have a communal atmosphere, but I found the set up of the communal areas really aided in creating a space that felt a bit like home among "strangers," more so than most other hostels I have stayed in. Also, the tour agency they work with is cheaper than Quetzaltrekkers and uses local guides. The hostel is also in a great location, a couple blocks from central park and the food markets. The hostel is also right next door to Casa Kiwi which has a bar and a nice terrace, so you can have the convenience of a comfortable hostel with options for different kinds of socializing next door. I would say this is for sure the best hostel in Xela! Thank you Jenny and all the staff for making my stay really superb! :)

Cute cozy communal hostel <3

Initially, I was booked in for one night, but ended up staying two weeks. The manager, Jenni, was very friendly and the location is very close to the central square. The hostel can set you up with very good spanish teachers and they have agreements with a local firm that can tale you on hikes.

During the first week, I stayed in a 4-person doorm, but changed to a 6-person doorm in the second week since it was less noice there (the 6-person room is facing the street and there's a private room adjacent to it).

Superb!

The BEST hostel in Xela!! Defenitely go there! Homey feeling, incredibly helpful staff, REALLY clean. Fully equiped kitchen! Lovely comunal places to hang out and talk to the other guests. The beds are amazingly comfortable. The friendly staff provides you with all the information you need about tours and things to do in Xela. The vibe in the charming authentic house is nice and relaxed. I stayed longer than I planned because I liked it there so much ;-)

BEST hostel in Xela

This hostel has a great location in the heart of Xela. The rooms are large and clean. There is a great common area and people are very friendly. There is also a large kitchen that was actually routinely utilized. I would definitely recommend.

Cozy Hostel

Spent a couple days here at it was great! Loved all the plants around hostel. Great vibes! There are serval restaurants close by that are in walking distance. Central Park is only a few blocks away and there is a market not to far from the park too. I hope you book and enjoy your stay at Casa Seibel!
