terrible room different from the photos. no wifi, no hairdryer, wardrobe without a door, no sockets, just wires everywhere. the water heater installed inside a cut false ceiling, the door with the broken handle. the kettle with rust inside. ugly really ugly. worth half the money paid

I booked two nights at Premier inn apartments thru Booking. Photos seemed nice and reviews overall good. Reality was FAR from advertised.

The room was old, dirty and gloomy. Old random pieced of furniture. Walls were stained with dirt and hands marks. Light switch dirty. Trash bin in the bathroom was covered with dirt and stains. Not sure about the bedsheets.. I inspected the mattress worried there would be bugs and it was quite dirty.
I woke up at night to go to the toilets and there were cuckroaches on the bathroom floor and walking up the rooms wall..
I had to shorten my stay in budapest and left the hotel the next morning instead of spending two nights.

You can get much better for the price, avoid booking there

Place to avoid - à fuir absolument

Checked in late at night, staff member was lovely, two lifts to get to rooms and overall hotel seemed nice. Got to room and was very clean and nice, typical thing, two single beds pushed together to make a double, nothing securing them together and they kept coming apart during the night.

Buffet breakfast is average, not loads of seating so pick your time, I honestly don’t think there’s enough seating if the entire hotel chose to eat at a similar time. Breakfast changes everyday and it’s not always good, highly recommend going to the local shopping centre (5min walk) there’s plenty of shops to get snack food.

Rooms are cleaned stupidly early, often woken up at 7:30-8am by a hoover. Although if you do leave yo ur room later on they will come back and clean it if you leave the sign out.

Overall location is okay, lots of history on that road and local to a shopping centre. You can get to a central location where you can either catch a bus or tram, this is about a 15 minute easy walk away and about 30-40 min walk from central places.

TV has Netflix and there’s a McDonalds 5 minutes walk from the hotel, worst comes to worst.

Think very nice Premier Inn

I didn’t even get a chance to stay here.

They cancelled my booking and room because of “invalid card”. Rung the bank, there’s sufficient funds in the account,  who said the booking didn’t even go through.

I tried ringing reception - who said I should be in contact with finance in 2 hrs. Still haven’t heard from the hotel.

Awful, awful experience

We booked the place at the last moment and at a very high price. We did get some benefits: the locaton of the place is just wonderful - 7 minutes from Keleti train station. There are some shops nearby. Also one of the stops of the sigtseeing buses is right oposite the building. The manager was very friendly and caring. That's about it.
The place itself is very basic. We stayed in the room with two big beds. There is a fridge, a sink, a microwave, a wardrobe, some dishes. The beds and sheets are very nice. That is about all I can write about the place - nothing special and very plain.No TV, no table. The aim of the room is just to spend the night.  We realised the price was too high due to our own fault - we should have booked beforehand, that is why we were not too much disappointed. Laughed that our most  luxurous and pricely room of all times turned out to be nearly a hostel.

very basic but nice to spend the night

Warm and lovely, but bathroom was not clean. Also bed sheets were not clean - it is not like in the hotel. Friendly guy at the reception, easy to access by car, parking behind the building, free on weekends. We paid 65 euros for 2 nights so ih was ok for this money.

Not clean as in hotels

We stayed as family of three ( adult child). Everything was exactly as expected. Super easy to locate, very close to train station. Manager was super helpful and accommodating. Room was large with fridge and microwave and enjoyed aircon. Would recommend and stay again.

Budapest visit

If you are bumped out of the city gardens hotel this is the alternative. It's clean.it has WiFi. It's a basic hostel level accommodation . It's adequate for a budget  hotel. It's not in the central location but you can walk there easily. Good bar up the road Zero bar.
