I’ve stayed there for two nights and I had a great time. The staff is quite nice and helpful, the place is really clean, you can get all type of information about Budapest, plus it’s a great place to relax after exploring Budapest.

Quiet, comfortable and great atmosphere

First hostel I ever stayed in. I had a certain image of hostels in my mind prior to staying at Mandala Hostel. I will let you into a little secret, it wasn't what you would call a pretty little picture (Rundown rooms, drunk loudmouths and people unable to book a hotel room). Mandala changed gave my perceptive completely in a way which I will forever be thankful for. I have stayed in many great hostels around the world because this wholesome hostel taught what makes a great hostel experience; the ability to come to a foreign country alone and meet other travellers, to share stories of past experiences and in general to have memories not so easily forgotten. The funny thing is, is the next hostel I stayed in was completely awful, which just goes to show that like  hotels, hostels can be a mixed bag, but with Manala Hostel being the golden nugget :)

A profound experience, read my review, worth a read

Be prepared to literally sleep on a mattress on the floor. I'm not too fussy so that didn't bother me, but having a random guy sleeping right next to me on his mattress on the floor was quite strange. The staff were nice and very helpful with regards to what to see and do in Budapest. It's literally a house partitioned off to make rooms. Was an ok place to sleep, central location, walking distance to all the main things

Pretty chill laid back vibe

The hostel has a familiar vibe and you feel like home
Bathrooms are really clean and the staff is always helpful and friendly. They asked us to go out with them and gave us many advices on what to do. They are really good with the maps!! 
Also towels are free and you can get extra blankets
We easly created a group of friends I can't wait to visit again!!

Quiet and familiar

This place is very cute and unique. Very friendly staff who are just like us backpackers. Great restaurant advice and advice on where to go in the city! The beds aren't special but they do the job! Towels, blankets, tea and coffee provided! Theres a kitchen you can use as well.
