Dean’s Home Budapest 

We stayed at Dean's Home Budapest for 7 days. We found it very good value for a week's accommodation. It was a short walk from Semmelweis Klinikák on the M3 line. There is a Spar supermarket immediately opposite which, again, is very convenient and we shopped there every day. Buffet breakfast is available though we mostly self-catered. There is a laundry on the lower floor, a rooftop terrace and a gym. You can arrange to pay to visit a pool. The hotel had spacious inside and outside common area seating and was never crowded. Everything was clean and well maintained. Reception is manned 24 hours and we had no difficulty checking in when we arrived after 11 pm on a Sunday night. The rooms, I think, were converted student housing and are not only spacious but have comfortable beds, multiple desks, clothes storage, air conditioning, clean bathrooms and showers. They also a large balcony, microwave, stove top, sink, crockery and cutlery (though you need to ask reception for cooking utensils) and bar fridge. They are upfront about the room service being only every four days though the exact timing can vary. Staying a week we did need to ask the cleaning staff or reception for rubbish bags, toilet paper and towels. The bathroom door that also closed off the kitchenette did tend to get off its rails but it was only a minor inconvenience. Air conditioning was good. Wifi was very good. I quite liked the "red" power point that stayed on even when your key was removed from the room and which allowed electronic devices to charge.
