Unsafe environment!

Once we’d paid we were led upstairs where a really sketchy man was paralytic on the kitchen floor, his two friends arguing loudly nearby. The receptionist did nothing.  

Later the same guy tried twice to break into the shower while people from our group were inside, despite being warned, because there was no lock. Thankfully it was the men in our party who were in both times, not the women, as he was clearly trying to get a look at them (we stationed people outside to stop him, he still tried). 

When we told the receptionist she did nothing, just saying that the group had been there for a week being really noisy. We left soon after. No refund given because - even though we paid in cash - the refund has to come through the app we booked on.

If a hostel doesn’t care about the safety and security of its guests it shouldn’t be allowed to operate. Avoid like the plague. Unsafe and sketchy as hell.

Well first its super cheap!
Well located.

There is a nice and causy bar downstairs. 
No annoying noise, you will spleep fine despite the bar.
I was travelling with my dad that enjoyed as well so its not only for young backpakers ;)

Great little hipsterish hostel!

Very good place on perfect location. There is also a nice bar with normal prices.
The rooms are also very interesting retro vintage style. They have and music program which begins from Thursday or Wednesday which I missed

Good place

A funny bar, must say. A mixture between a library, underground party place and a hipster gathering place. A jewel in the center of this small, but lovely, place called Esztergom.  Must visit!!! For a small period of time you can escape into some other world where people are talkative, even to strangers and tourists, and just relax and enjoy the moment!

Arts bar

A little gem of a backpacker hostel. We arrived here late in the evening on a cold night after a long day of cycling and were warmly greeted and welcomed in this cozy hostel full of charm. For 22 Euros for the two of us, we got a fully equipped kitchen, nice warm shower, little chill area, a spacious room and a great location right under the castle. You just can't beat this.

Cosy, friendly and amazing value!

A hostel with a very good atmosphere, located in an old building. for 14€ I have been assigned a private room with no bathroom and library. there is a terrace for breakfast and on the ground floor a very lively bar.

It is well situated and has a good atmosphere.

Came for a night. Stayed the week. Slept in the cave room 👌 it has its own sitting room too.
The kitchen is small but ideal and encourages meeting others and sharing dinner. 
Thank you Kata & Ricard for hosting me. It was more like a friendly homestay rather than a paid stay.
The cafe/bar n courtyard below is a fun place to hang out. Very arty creative place.
Oh yes, fantastic location 😊 right below the castle and near the Danube. 
Free street parking about 75 metres away. 

Time warp home

Despite the name, I wouldn't call it a hostel, because the room where I was staying was single, with a sofa bed all for me. And the price was really hostel, by the way: just 15 euros a night. The room was spacious and cozy, with contemporary artwork on the walls and Hungarian books at my disposal. The rooms share two bathrooms and a kitchen, and the premises overlook an inner courtyard that is part of the ground floor bar. The owner is a sunny and very kind girl, who gave me great tips on where to eat in the evening. The hostel is just steps from the Danube and the castle. Highly recommended.

Colorful and delicious

It's a series of rooms that share a kitchen, a bathroom and a beautiful courtyard. The rooms are characteristic and clean. The hostel kids were very kind and very available. On the ground floor there is a bar. Recommended 💕
